Am I happy or depressed or is best to be in the middle?

I feel kind of numb. I act very happy: slow to anger, its easier to work (i used to just veg out and procrastinate) enjoy simple things but I don’t know if I feel happy happy. Just sort of contented and whatever. I have felt happy happy before (when I was first dating my fiance but that was also mixed with a lot of fear) and now I wish that that happiness was the norm but I wonder if that is out of the norm to be THAT happy all the time.

That is good that you are that way. People should be more cheerful. That is good and you sounds kind of in the middle but closer to happy. Good for you!!

It’s normal for you. We’re all different.

I think we should always feel mentally strong. And not allow the feeling of depression to come near. Whatever precautions are required for keep away depression have to be taken by us. Let us be disciplined, organized and systematic. That is more than sufficient, I think.

Whenever I feel down, I try to encourage myself by comparing with other people.

It sounds like you feel empty happy. Usually, to be truly happy, you need to feel a sense of purpose that is certain to you. Without purpose, you can still enjoy things, but overall, you just feel empty.
