Any Tips On Getting Organized For School?

6

I really want to be more organized in school this year. I was thinking of having individual plastic binders for each section. I went through all of last year without a locker shelf never going to do that again. I also do many sports ( atleast two at a time) and play two instuments. Any ideas for getting things done in an effecient way. I’m very very easy going so I want time for myself to hang with my family. If you have suggestions thanks in advance!

Well, it varies from person to person. My habit may not work for you, so you have to sort of work through trial-and-error. Try to write down all your assignments and things you have to do. You may think that you’ll be able to remember everything, but believe me, there will be times when you just forget that one homework assignment.
Manage your time efficiently. It’s a vague statement, but what it basically means is, if you’re into this sort of thing – set aside a certain amount of time that you’re going to spend on your homework. Try to plan out your time and manage it, and you’ll aim to meet those goals.
If you’re like me, you won’t want to set these goals and time limits and you’ll feel to constricted by the boundaries. In this case, what I do is when I get home, I have a snack and lounge a little. Then, I do my homework and take study breaks. Eventually, I get things done. If you have sports and stuff, incorporate them before and after homework.
Hope this helps, although I’m not sure. For more information, go here: http://www.studygs.net/

Activities such as sports and playing an instrument are good but should be secondary to classroom work. It is the class work that gets you on to the next level – university! Talk to your school counselor – he or she may have information to help you be better prepared and organized. Limit your activities so that you have time to do the school work.

A binder for each subject is a great idea! You should have a locker shelf. Keep folders for each subject too. And make sure you study in 1 organized spot at home. Keep your locker, binders, and folders cleaned out. Hope this helps!

A binder for each subject is great. In each binder, include dividers for notes, homework, returned tests, and warm-ups (if applicable).
Everyday when you take notes, label them with the date and subject matter, include corresponding text book page numbers if you can (for example, math notes may say- sept 15, types of angles, pg 55-58) Also label homework with page number, questions, etc. When you finish homework, put it in the front pocket of that subject binder. Every month, clean out scratch paper and unneeded items, but keep old tests and notes.
Use a daily planner and record homework as soon as you receive the assignment. Mark test dates, and due dates for big projects. When you do homework at night, check tasks off as you complete them.
As stated above, music and sports are great, but always take a back seat to academics.

Have a planner on the wall of activitities and assignments that are due.Outside activities are great but remember that you also need to find time to do your homework. If you want to spend time with your family then cut off a sport.

basically,
have a calendar, list your items, schedule them and do them
