Anyone Know A Good Self-help/self-improvement Book?

6

Long story short me and my partner are currently “on a break” because we both need some time apart to fix our problems. I’ve been told that I get angry over every stupid little thing and I can’t learn to let things go..
So if there’s anyone out there who knows a book that would I help I would appreciate it very much. Thanks!~

I enjoy Cheri Huber’s books for self help. :) They have helped me a lot. I also like that they are written in a font that looks similar to handwriting and there are lots of hand drawn pictures, it makes it interesting and easy to read.
In the book “That Which You Are Seeking Is Causing You to Seek” there is an example she gives —
“I have lost my favorite teacup. I have two choices. I can have lost my teacup and be miserable. I can have lost my teacup and be all right. In either case, the teacup is gone.”
Just reading that really changed my views on how I react to situations. And you really do choose how you react to something, although it takes some time. (The self discipline book helps with that too.) I actually photo copied that and taped it up next to my area at work.
Here are some other ones I’ve read that have helped:

Yes. The book of Proverbs in the Christian Bible (it doesn’t matter which version of the Bible-they all have that book with basically the same advice). Even if it turns out that the Bible is the result of a bunch of lazy con-artists playing on the superstitions of common people, there still is a lot of truthful wisdom used in a lot of the smaller books in this book-especially the book of Proverbs.
