Are Hate Crime Laws Enforced Only If The Victim Is A Member Of An Organized Religion?
Are they ever enforced in a situation in which abuse is directed at an individuals or individuals for having left a specific organized religion?

This is the first time I have heard this suggested.
I have also never heard of the hate crimes statute being used in that way but hate crimes statute is there in some ways for interpretation. Ethnicities, sexualities, etc. It is possible you could use it in that way. I think it would depend on the case and things. That would be a good thing to ask a county attorney.
If the “abuse” is illegal itself (assault as opposed to name calling, for example), then if it can be shown the reason for the illegal activity is based on religion (or other protected class), then it could be prosecuted as a hate crime.
There will always be a motive for every action that is carried out.
