Aren’t The Republicans Happy That Obama Is Sending More Troops To Afghanistan?

They are only happy when they are in control and calling the shots.

Conservatives are for more than just sending troops.
We are for 100% commitment by our President.
All in, or All out.
He sent 10,000 less than asked for.
He announced to our enemy exactly when we are leaving ( Never before done in the History of successful warfare)
Both of those decisions were made from “Political” concerns, not victory, not national security. His decision proves he is more concerned about offending his political base, than winning the damn thing.

Since he’s not 100% committed, why send our troops over there at all.

The problem is, he’s trying to walk on both sides of the fence at once which can be painful. He appears to be trying to support the war effort but he’s trying to appease his Liberal Constituency at the same time by not sending the requested amount of troops and publicly declaring a withdrawal time line. Instead of trying to deflect fire from himself, I would rather he either jumps into the effort with both feet or pulls our troops out completely. I hate to see a president go luke warm on an issue like this. It should be either ALL IN or ALL OUT.

russia was in war with them and surrendered
U.S. and NATO fight are there also, eventually we are the next victims

the enemy are using Guerrilla warfare tactics and are winning
compared to U.S. and NATO

He ignores his generals original request giving him 30k instead of 40k. Plus Obama said he will end this war in 18 months. You can’t fore see your ending. This is nuts. He’s giving a time line for the enemy to stall out and give them a chance to regroup. You never tell the enemy when you plan to end.

They aren’t. They can’t be. If they were, they would not say so. They must disagree with Obama. That’s the game.
Now, we see at least that it does not matter – Republican or Democrat – there is NO change – they both serve the same people.

I agree with him sending troops. I don’t agree with him taking so long while men and women are dieing over seas. Were not going to win the whole war, but we do need to build stability for the Afghan Army and the country. So at least we didn’t go to war for 8yrs just for nothing.
