At What Point Do You Decide To Abandon Self-improvement For Acceptance..?
“Self-improvement, implies that we are all less than perfect. I gave up on self-imporvement when I realized that “perfection” only exists in nature, and that no matter how many Books, Lectures, etc.to which I was exposed that I would never, ever become perfect. I thank the Almighty for that insight. I am what I am, virtues, faults and all, and once I accepted the fact that I was a decent human being who cared for and about people and animals alike, I experinced a freedom of spirit . Immodest as it may sound, I like who I am.

In truth, everyone wants to be accepted whether they admit it or not. But that doesn’t mean that you should abandon yourself. There’s generally someone out there who would like you the way you are.
I also agree with Evelyn. I can’t say it better then that. Acceptance is necessary for you to be able to support others and assist with their needs.
I agree with Evelyn…when your self-improvement becomes less important than the negative impact it causes to another, you have to think that continuing self-improvement would simply be selfish.
i wouldn’t give up self improvement, but it doesn’t matter if i’m accepted or not because thats who i am they either accept me or not.
When Self Improvement does not come naturally and does not give me any joy any more.
I hope never…I like to strive to better myself…acceptance seems stale…
When one chooses to place the needs or sometimes wants of another before themselves
I think self improvement abandon me a long time ago… between my step dad telling me I did not get paid to think and his brother telling me I was good for nothing…… whats the point of improving yourself….
