Well I just finished up Highschool and Im heading into college this year. I had a mix of classes from basic to AP and Honors.
Basically, the key to getting organized is just keeping your notebooks neat and organized. My first year of high school was a disaster because I just stuffed papers haphazardly into notebooks and it was a mess. I couldn’t find anything.
But ultimately, it comes down to you and our will power and self control. Senior year was rough, I really got into the party scene and it was rough. In the beginning of it when college time came around, I spend many friday and saturday nights writing essays and doing college applications. Its really easy to put stuff off. All the nice fancy stuff and shiney notebooks and high end pens wont change the fact that it all comes back down to you ya know?
Trust me on this one. I got into 6 out of 7 schools i applied to and was working 2 jobs throughout my senior year. If you want to do well, it call comes back down to you.
Best of luck

the best way to get organized, is to organize everything you need on a daily basis. Before going to bed, have all of your clothes laidd out, all of the materials you will need, the books, binder, pens, etc all neatly arranged in your backpack or whatever you use, Maintain notebooks for each subject and write all assignment down as they are announced in the appropriate notebook. I sugest different colors for different subjects. Before leaving school each day, check each notebook. If there is no assignment due, take the textbook home anyway. You can also spend a half hour re-reading what the instructor went ocver that day to get it firmly in your head. You have to do this religiously for 21 days. It takes 21 days to establish a habit. After that you should be able to keep youtr stuff together without conscious thought. Keep your locker clean by cleaning it out every friday before going home. And I mean every friday. Do your homework on Friday and double check everything on Sunday evening.

for your locker make sure you have a shelf on the top put your lunch and your gym bag and other things like your purse ect… or put those things on the bottem and keep your books on the top.
have one folder on one side put the papers that need to get done on the other side put the papers that you have done and that are due. get sticky notes and on the bottom half of the folder put the things you need to get done but arent papers(study for test, finsh video project, go jogging ect…) just put whatever you want to get done that day..
this really helped me to get all my work done and not forget anything :)
also have one binder with dividers and keep notes and papers you get back so if a paper goes missing you will have proof that you did it… and you will have things to study off for tests!
this is what helped me get better grades and more organized =D
good luck.

Hey! I know exactly what you mean…Organization is key to doing well in school. Heres a few tips that I have found useful:
Firstly, keeping labeled folders and clear binders to keep all your handouts and assignments from school is a must. Secondly, always take notes during class and file these away in a folder/clearfile….Maybe have a clearfile for each subject so that studying for exams is easy because all your notes are in a clear, chronological order. Thirdly, having a plan! Have a calender and putting all your due assignments on it is a really good way to stay organized!! Also, have a “to do” list where you write all your assignments on it and tick off when these assignments have been done and keep adding your new ones.
Also, stay focused in class… It can be difficult but it really is the key to learning.
Hope this helps you and I am sure you will succeed in your goal to be more organized!!!
