Comments on Can A Positive Attitude Affect The Outcome?
*Smiles* A little different from the other question.

I imagine that a positive attitude could affect the outcome, considering the board scope of the outcome we are looking at.
For example, being positive about winning the lottery doesn’t really change the results, we still win or lose. However, being negative about buying lottery spoils the fun, why buy lottery knowing that we will lose? People won’t bother checking out the results right away after the results are out if they do it with a negative attitude. People who win, are surprised and happy, people who lose just sulk and wonder why they bought it in the first place.
In another words, buying lottery expecting that you can win despite the odds is much more exciting, people will check the results instantly with a positive attitude right away after the results are out. And knowing that the odds are low doesn’t really affect the final outcome, they just want the excitement of finding out. People who win are again surprised and happy, people who lose knew better and get on with life knowing that it’s a form of entertainment for them.
Same situation, different attitudes, same outcome, different outcomes.
The outward outcomes might turn out to be the same.
But the inward outcome is what really counts, as that’s who we are and how we think.
Here’s another example:
An ice cream seller worries that she can’t sell ice cream when it’s raining but also worries for her son who is working as a interior designer under the hot weather (no air con in unfurnished buildings) when it is not raining, Everyday, she worries and her hair greys so much faster.
One day, her son noticed something wrong and ask her what is she worried about. She told him that and her son smiled, telling her to think of him when it is raining and he would enjoy the cool weather while working happily, and to think of how good business will be when it is not raining.
With that reverse of thoughts in similar situations, the ice cream seller became a much more happier person, and because this is a story, let’s say that her hair became blacker and less grey as well because she is happy. hehe

Be positive, it is much easier when there’s a reason to be positive about too. hehe being positive about slim hopes doesn’t really affect the outcome of the situation, but it does help in the outcome of being a happier and more positive person who can calmly deal with things in life.
I heard this somewhere, a negative person is seldom calm and reasonable. A positive person is calm more often and makes more logical reasoning.
I find truth in it many times in life, how about you ?

*winks*
As someone once told me:
”
Faith is knowing that I will come as said
Positive thinking and attitude is knowing that when I do come, it will be great.
”
*laughs* hehe
I don’t believe the ‘thing’ your attitude is leaning toward knows, or cares about the attitude projected. Not unless inanimate or non sentient objects have some kind of crazy magnetism.
If I talk sweetly to the game of solitaire I’m playing – will I win more often. Will I loose more if I yell at it?
Events have even less consciousness, don’t they?
And just who is the arbitor of human (or other) emotion?
Yet if all the Peoples on the Earth were to attitudinally wish for world peas would the Earth turn green?
I’m pondering . . .
.
YES. Of course.
A postive attitude can give you the confidence to perfrom a task or take on challenge. Thereby affecting the outcome.
A negative attitude could cause you to give up, and not even try to affect the outcome.
I don’t know that it would affect the outcome itself. Rather it would affect your perception of the outcome.
Not really, but its better than having a negative attitude. Negative attitude does affect your feelings.
I agree that it will not necessarily change the outcome, but it may affect how you handle the outcome.
