Can You Help Teens Without Lowering Their Self-esteem?
I am starting a NPO and it is focused on helping teenagers with self-esteem and other issues…I also want to help teens with funds and clothing for high school events. How do I get teens to ask for help?

The key is to not “advertise” that they are getting help for clothing and funds. You should make them think they are working for what they earn instead of it being just a hand out. Kids can be so cruel these days. Even wearing a simple family hand-me-down gives the potential to get made fun of.
Tie up with colleges if can, advertise outside teen hang out’s and schools etc. U should have a line or ur poster should have something special in it to attract them
no i dont think so depends wat u say
I think self-esteem comes from a feeling of actually accomplishing something. I don’t think teens can just pick it up from getting gold stars on their papers and being told that they’re special. Self-esteem is a result, not a means.
To that end, it would be helpful to convince kids to volunteer to help those less fortunate, such as handicapped people and retirees.
