In the OT, he kills a crap-load of people. In the NT, he is portrayed as a kind loving figure. So…did he get his anger from the OT worked out with Odin or Ra?

Seems to me he got meaner. In the Old Testament he may kill you for the littlest thing, but it took Jesus to make eternal punishment for finite sins part of God’s plan.
