Did/does The God Of The Bible Actually Desire For Humans To Have An Organized Religion?
Where in the Bible does it say “Judaism is God’s religion”? Where in the Bible does it say “Followers of Jesus Christ will form an organized religion”? I Truly believe in the worship and obedience of Jesus Christ and His Father, the One True God but I am against organized religion. Jesus said it well to the Samaritan woman at the well. What do you think?

You are right. God’s not looking for religion, He’s looking for relationship. You can see that Jesus had a problem with the Pharisees, they were more consumed with religion than relationship.
The word “denomination” means “divided”; there is only one
“religion” for the true Christian and that is called the “many-membered Body of Christ”; it has no man-given denominational or dividing name,
it has no specific building, none of man’s tripe or traditions.
Either you are part of that, or you are “playing church”; there is no
gray area here. Ya is or ya ain’t. The “cathecism” is called the
emphatic Word of the Living God, and there is no other.
Judaism is NOT Moses-ism.. the laws given through Moses
Israelite-ism
The Israelites first were told to build a tabernacle then a temple
These structures were less than the size of half a football field
All of the Israelites.. not even one tribe could have ever got inside either structure.
By the time they built the temple there would have been over 20 million Israelites
synagoges.. and churches are the invention of religous leaders to bring lemmings in to bilk them of their money.
No such instructions are given in the scriptures…
In Israelitism.. the religous gathering was composed of the members of the household
Churches/Synagoges.. places where religous practice methods of getting people in an emotional high or some emotional issue … then making them feel obligated to give money to the church/synagoge … in which a rabbi/preacher skims.
The only wealthy people in the scriptures were kings, but that came along with the turf of being a king.
The prophets nor the apostles every took any thing, in fact it is written the apostles had jobs and gave to the needy.. so are the OT laws .. to give to the poor, sicky, widows, needy so I guess that would be the preachers/rabbis out on the golf course.
NO you do not have to give, you are shamed into it or a sly religous makes you believe you are given to God’s cause, when the cash ends up in their pockets
I used to think as you Did…..
AS ORGANIZED RELIGION loses its grip on the masses, it is hardly surprising that so many people would formulate their own personal religion. The questions are, though, Can doing so really satisfy one’s spiritual needs? Is “private religion” the answer?
To address these questions, we might first consider whether private religion can truly stand up under the scrutiny of our “power of reason,” one of the greatest gifts that humans possess.—Romans 12:1.
The reasoning mind tends to reject what is self-contradictory. However, in a survey of private religion in Sweden, it was concluded that people often “rather spontaneously combine different (and possibly logically incompatible) life philosophy elements into their own philosophy.”
For example, only 2 percent of those who claimed to be “Christian in their own way” mentioned Jesus, even as a historical person. Yet, belief in reincarnation was mentioned frequently. Now, is it not inconsistent to label oneself a follower of Jesus Christ while ignoring his life and teachings—and even embracing doctrines diametrically opposed to those of Christ?
Does it strike you as sound reasoning to base religious beliefs—even a hope for the future—on such vague, tenuous, and fragmentary ideas?
Our Need for Fellowship
Fellowship, brotherhood, and solidarity have long been cherished by religious believers. (Acts 2:42, 46) But since private religion is just that—private—how can it fill these needs?
I did alot of research ,and asked many questions, one day a Knock on the door , Answered them all from the Bible…Now I Knock..Looking for people like you and I.
God wants Christians to have fellowship with Him and with each other as members of the body of Christ in the unity of the Spirit. For geographical and numerical reasons bodies of Christ ie the churches are in groups called by various names. God bless you.
Jesus came to set up a Kingdom and not a religion. God gives man only 2 choices, we can either choose Him or choose mankind. God set the laws of nature, the laws of mankind and the laws of eternity. God sent Jesus, His only BEGOTTEN Son to make THE WAY for mankind to spend eternity with Him.
Christianity is the child religion of Judaism. Nowhere in the Bible does it say “Followers of Jesus Christ will form an organised religion”….
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
1Tim 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1Pe 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Rom 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
There ae various places in the book of Acts, for example 120 were in the upper room praying until the Lord poured out the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
Act 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
Believers met regularly for fellowship and to recieve the Word and pray and worship together.
Act 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
no…
i agree with you and i am happy to know it is becoming a widespread revelation.
relating with God is a “way of life”!
Most organized religions destroy the message of Jesus.
God wants spiritual fruits – Not religious nuts.
I see. You prefer disorganised religion?
I think Your crazy. He didn’t make Peter a pope for nothing you no. We also have to receive the Eucharist at mass every sunday!
You are correct.
Worship in spirit and in truth.
