Do I Need A Visa To Travel On An Organized Music Trip To Holland?

1

Please, someone help me – I hate bureaucracy so much! The College Big Band have organized a trip to Amsterdam and I am in trouble becasue I do not have a British passport – only Indefinite Leave to Remain. The embassy will not give me an appointment because I found out about the whole thing too late. I find it hard to believe that to travel with a group for just a few days can be so stressful. There must be some other way than having to apply for a visa.

There is a special provision in the schengen visa rules for students and others (like your Big Band) travelling in a group. It needs to be an organised tour and there must be a list of passengers. But IIRC this must be approved by the embassy before you go, similar to a visa. So get in contact with who ever organised the trip ASAP and ask them for help. Then contact the embassy again.
BTW, what is your citizenship? Do you even have a passport? Even if you get around having a visa, you’ll still need your passport to travel.
