Do you ever set deadlines for yourself to meet certain goals/accomplishments?

7

Like do you set a date or by a certain age you want to do certain things? For instance, get a college degree, start a family, get married, make a million dollars.

Do you hold yourself to certain dates? If so, how has it worked out? Or is it more harm than good to attach deadlines to goals?

It really depends if you procrastinate or not.

Setting a deadline can influence you to get on that goal and spend every minute (if it’s a short-term deadline) to reach it.

Although, it can be harmful if you set too high goals in too little time.

Just try to find a balance.

I myself don’t set deadlines or goals :P . Just get good grades by the next report card ^^.

I pretty much do that, even with little things. Even if they’re big tasks to break down into parts. My counselors taught me that. That way, things won’t be so overwhelming. I was advised to make a To Do list every day. But I also have long-term goals, as well. There’s a site where you can set goals & also tell your life experiences.

Yes I do sometimes, for it makes mo more motivated, to try my best to achieve that certain goal. It is really good to set your goals, because you will be able to have direction in your life. I fell fulfilled every time I achieved one a goal of mine, makes me see life more positively, believe in myself and in my God.
