Comments on do you know what is meant by a positive mental attitude?
Romans 8:28
It means exactly what it sounds like it means.
Having a positive outlook on life…believing that, one way or the other, things will work themselves out, and life will go on with no major upheaval.
Of course, bad things do happen…people do lose their jobs, get sick, or die for example. But these things are going to happen…they’re part of life. That doesn’t mean the world ends. You have to be strong…pick yourself up, put one foot in front of the other and keep living life until things get better again…and, they will!
Just having a positive attitude. Trying to keep out negativity and stay happy in spite of diversity or difficulties that a person might face.
Trust and believe that the Lord is in total control and look back over your life and the things that you went through. He kept you through all of it. Believe that he will never leave and forsake you. Letting go and letting God. because truly, if we have a good day, it’s the Lord that allowed it to come our way. In life, we don’t know what we will face. But, one thing is for certain, if we made it, it was God’s grace that brought us through. Musical artist, “Marvin Sapp” has a song that is really hot right now. “Never would have made it”.
Positive mental attitude is having a positive way of life…Looking at things positively…staying happy….and seeing the bright side of stuff. A corny but great way to put it is oh I don’t know..”Glass is half full NOT half empty”. People with positive mental attitude live happy and more healthy lives. They have less anxiety and unhappiness and even when rough times come, they remain strong and are as positive as they can be.
Positive mental attitude means to respond positively to every situations of life. It means ‘ to strongly believe that everything in this world is good’. I personally believe that happiness and unhappiness is defined by our assumption and it does not depend on what really we r facing. In short we can say that
” Our Attitude Decides Our Altitude “
i think it just means try to have a positive outlook on things
take an upbeat perspective
think of the glass as half full not half empty
that kind of stuff
look at life as a field of opportunities as opposed to obstacles. Think positive and be observant of your mind and body. Treat your body well. Lower harmful chemicals and stressful environments – where ever possible.
Surround yourself by upbeat individuals
Well, in general, I think that when people use the term, it means keeping an expectation that things are going to work out for the best no matter what the circumstances surrounding you.
It doesn’t necessarily mean being happy and cheerful, because even when you are an optimistic, happy person, you have days when you are down.
A positive attitude comes from your belief that even when things are not going well, things are going to improve, work themselves out, or change. When everything in your world has crashed and burned, you look around, and despite all the tears and anger and frustration, you look inside to see what you have learned and gained from the experience, what will you carry with you when you move on?
It means taking all of your life experiences as just that, experiences, and realizing that none of them determine your worth as a person or stand alone- using the good and the bad together as motivation and strength.
Believing in possibilities…
I think it means that fully knowing the faults of the world, you don’t give up. Not ignoring them, but using them to create a better world. So what if ppl walking in the street don’t wave to each other or treat others with respect? That means u need to look at the world with new eyes… set an example, love strangers, be considerate, walk in someone else’s shoes and give them a chance. More than one if needed. I learned a lot from a victim of the columbine shooting: Rachel Joy Scott
I think Bad Brains said it best:
“Don’t care what they may say
We got that attitude!
Don’t care what they may do
We got that attitude!
Hey, we got that P.M.A.!
Hey, we got the P.M.A.!
Hey, we got the P.M.A.!”
r those attitudes which inspires u to do right , justful things making ur life admirable.
Look for the postive or good in everything- it changes the way you look at things thus making you a happier person.
Having a positive out look, expect things to go right not just assume everything will go bad or that good things have strings attached or that they only happen to other people.
“I THINK, THEREFORE I AM”..It means you are whatever you believe yourself to be. If you believe you are a caring, loving, deserving, intelligent person, you will be. If you believe only the bad about yourself, you project this negativity onto others.
It means
~Trust yourself.
~Be optimistic about the future instead of dreading it.
~Believe in your talents & abilities.
~Don’t beat yourself up over your “short-comings”, nobody’s perfect or good at everything. Give yourself a break!
~Be open-minded, receptive to people.
~Stop dwelling on things you can’t change, & start focusing on what you CAN.
~Treat yourself the same way you’d treat a best friend or soulmate.
~Never give up. Practice makes perfect.
~Be grateful for the things you HAVE, stop resenting what you don’t have.
~Do what you know is right.
~Be a good influence on everyone..inspire them to do great things.
ABSOLUTELY, I believe that I will have the best answer, I should get the 10 points, and therefore I am already 10 points richer. thank you for a great question, thumbs up to you.
yea looking at the bright side
Positive mental attitude in simple terms is thinking positively or seeing the brighter side of things. It is believed to have very good effects on a person’s life. I personally have eperienced them. Of you reassure yourself, are confident and are cheerful you send positive vibes thus leading to positive results. My dad pratices reiki and he is really happy all the time. The key is to be happy, smiling and always look for a silver lining. Best of Luck. Have a nice week
Cheers……….
I believe that it is practicing to the BEST of your capability, whatever keeps you sane, and in good judgment of what people will compliment and support that sanity.
That kind of positive mental attitude will lead you to find others with the same interest about maintaining sanity.
And while maintaining a positive attitude, both parties become appreciatively reciprocal to one another.
Positive mantel attitude refers to good attitude and mental ability to create and not to destroy.Any thought of dist ruction in any way whether the thought is acted upon or not is negative thought and bad mantel attitude.Being positive is to be in a mantel state of creation and the test as to whether that thought is positive or negative is the outcome of such mantel attitude. If the outcome of such mantel attitude is destructive and you or other people suffer from it than it cant be positive mantel attitude. There are certain norms in the behavior that can be classified as positive and negative. Thus it depends on the society you are in.People in a society who generally have positive mantel attitude will generate positive and prosperous society and vice verse.
To see a challange where others see a “problem”
To make the negative experiences into learning opportunities.
One that is not destuctive to you or others. One that makes you happy, content, or serene. One than takes you places in your life where you want to be. One that helps with your self-esteem. One that makes you want to get up out of bed in the morning.
that means, to become positive in all the way, no matter what negative approach other people have.
>it means ignoring all the setbacks and uncomplimentary events and thinking it will get better sooner or later.
>the effort of putting all bad things at the back of your mind.
Having high hopes, even when there are clouds on the horizon.
being optimistic…
if you really want it there will always be a GOOD way…
Being able to let go of “negative aura”…
or…
Having a GOOD mental attitude.
like, good behavior…
having good manners…
it’s different with Negative mental attitude
it could also be different with Positive Emotional attitude…
Seeing the brighter side of any negativity in your life…
LIVE IN THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE WILL FOLLOW. I USED TO WASTE TIME KICKING MY OWN A&& AND FINALLY REALIZED TO LEARN MY LESSONS IN LIFE
I read this really great article about positive thinking yesterday. One quote stood out in my mind….
“The sub conscious mind is neutral and impartial. It will carry out ANY instruction you give it.”
If you tell yourself you are stupid then you mind takes that as instructions….if you tell yourself you are great and smart…your mind will believe that as well.
Positive thinking is giving your mind positive instructions…and recognizing negative thoughts and letting them go.
This is simply the way you CHOOSE to see the world and the events that happen around you.
You see the glass as half full, not half empty.
Gas prices go up, you see less people driving so better air quality.
Food prices go up, less fat people. etc.
it means bein happy/positive n nt depressed n sad i fink evry1 should av a positive mental attitude xx
A person’s thoughts, whether positive or negative, do have an effect on their environment. If you think negatively, your mind will automatically seek out confirmation that the world is a terrible place. Seeing is believing, and your mind reinforces your belief that reality is negative. See how it’s a downward spiral of negativity? If you expect negative results, you are less likely to take risks and try new things. Negative thinking masks your impressions in fear.
Positive thinking works the same way. With a positive mental attitude, you’ll seek out positive choices and expect positive results. This helps you move past fear and try things that others may believe “can’t be done”. This typically end in positive results.
Examples of Positive mental attitude:
Cheerleaders, Dahli Lama, babies, bamboo,
Believing that people are generally good and that overall you are blessed and life is great. This doesn’t mean you are to naive to see things that need improvement or that are just plain wrong but that you try to focus on the good things and instead of griping about the bad you try to make them better.
Positive mental attitude – I will think the best of others and I will reflect positively on situations that are less than rosey.
I will also turn negative if they do not respond to my “SORRY” when I accidentally pushed them on the bus…and will end the encounter with a positive “F*** OFF” which will make me feel so much more positive about things.
P.S. If there was no negative you wouldn’t feel the effects of the positive…i think.
OPTIMISM: There are a large number of ways in which things can go wrong, but a much smaller number of ways in which they can go right. To paraphrase the Scottish poet, Robbie Burns: “The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray” and the proverb: “There’s many a slip, twixt the cup, and the lip”. ~~~~~ Maintain a positive outlook, and be determinedly optimistic, even when the circumstances don’t warrant it, for the benefits it will bring, later. If you become aware that you have backslid into your former internal monologue, (self talk) use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts, in section 2, and 2L, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris To help them in this: some people carry a wide rubber band in their pocket: put it on their wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards, but I regard this as being purely optional. Replace the negative thoughts, or images with positive ones. If using an affirmation, such as: “I want to improve, daily.” or “I’m not perfect, but right now, I’m doing the best I can.” or “To thine own self be true.” etc., make sure it is one you choose, which you feel comfortable with. It takes 30 – 40 repetitions, to establish a new habit, with most people, so I estimate a similar amount, here. ~~~ “Be mindful of your thoughts; they influence your words. Be mindful of your words; they influence your acts. Be mindful of of your acts; they influence your habits. Be mindful of your habits; they influence your character. Be mindful of your character; it influences your future”. Remember what Mark Twain said;
“only thing sadder than a young pessimist, is an old optimist.”
It could mean that you look at things better than they actually are and room for improvement. Think of the old classic: Look at a glass that has been filled half-way. Do you see it as half-empty or half-full? It you say half-full, it indicates a positive mental attitude.
It means, always being positive about any situation that may arrise. without any negative thoughts or emotions, always chipper about anything, without thinking about what could go wrong!!!!
Oh yes — practice and encourage – the results are facinating.

having the attitude that it will be a good day… that good things can happen, that the sun is shining and you are alive and having the attitude life is worth living. Also believing that whatever you are facing you will get through it.
sure think positively
chose to
it changes how you actually feel
to positive
yea, basically you think the outcome of something will be good prior to it even occurring just because you should always hope for the best.
It means staying far, far away from negative people. They will drag you down to their level.
yes
sure , never say never and stay self motivated no matter what befalls you. also avoid self pitty at all cost
Think good and do not allow bad thoughts to enter your mind.Bad thoughts include negative or pessimistic thoughts, letting your mind wander when you meet people with ailments, problems etc etc Thinking about whether you would face the same fate etc.All these are negative thoughts and should be shunned to make way for positive thoughts to enter your mind and remain calm & collected at all times.
It means always looking for a way to improve the situation, or always trying to find something good. Like right now, I don’t have many work hours, but while I don’t have much money I do have time to rest and do some of my own things, which I needed. It should pick up. If it doesn’t, instead of sitting around complaining, my positive attitude will lead me to do something about it–talk to people, advertise, let it be known I’m available for more work.
Look every matters on the bright side (having the good side of views).
In a nut shell being positive.
