Dreams become real goals only when you start believing that you can reach them.
The ideal situation is where most others believe that you may not be able to reach, but you yourself do believe that it may be difficult, but not impossible.
Stretching of effort and confidence makes a goal worthwhile, but there can be no stretch of effort unless there is reasonable confidence in the first place.

Whether we are able to reach or not, we are supposed to keep high targets, so that we will be able to put full effort with that high target in mind. In the end, even if we are able to achieve eighty per cent, it is considered OK. Because if you keep the target less, you will not put sufficient effort once you reach the maximum. One should have enough challenging assignments to keep the mind busy and alert. It is one of the management tactics.
