Effective stress management and relaxation?

Stress has been defined by some as an “imbalance between demands and resources” or when “pressure exceeds one’s perceived ability to cope”

My question is, what specific steps to do you use, or have you found effective when dealing with stress?

There are a bunch of things, one i like to swim, actually i think i just like to be around water, i enjoy watching a creek or a river.

I hate yoga though, everyone says its supposed to help that but yoga stresses me out im not flexible enough for that…

Whenever my boss gets stressed she goes out and smokes a ciggerette, i suppose that could help…

Masterbation, i hate to say it, helps sometimes…

it depends on the situation. but best thing u could do is to hav a circle of friends who like to be funny. talk with them ur stress will fly away.

I love swimming. walking. a good time in bed with your lover. one of the best.

Any physical exercise that takes lots of concentration is helpful to me. Yoga helped me when my husband was deployed to the Gulf war.
Now I do a combination of cardio and hydraulic resistance machines.

Meditation and Yoga are time tested antedotes to stress. Change in attitude helps in prevention and management of stress. Some points:
a. Positive attitude
b. Studying holy books and practise the principles in day to day life.
c. Be truthful as far as possible
d. Contentment
e. A strong feeling that I am just an instrument in the scvheme of things made by the God.
