How Can A Middle Schooler Keep Organized?

Lucky you! I’m a teacher in NY! Guess what? I can be very unorganized too. Make it a plan each Sunday to tidy up your binders, room, and bookbag. Do NOT keep all of your subjects in one binder. Use separate binders. Within each binder have a label. For example: Mr. Henderson’s science course: tab # 1 Homework assignments tab #2 Lab handouts tab #3 Notes from class, etc. Make sure everything goes in the place it should!
Lockers are a tough one. Imo, there isn’t enough room in lockers.

s1- take everything out of your binder(s) and get rid of anything that you don’t need such as doodles, really old work. etc. if your teacher want you to keep all your work then get paper folders for your old work one for each subject.
2- clean your locker. put your binders in the bottom, keep a backpack on the hook and put your textbooks on the shelf at the top. get a magnetic pen holder and put it on the door keep your pens there and a pad of sticky notes.
3- anything you need to remember write on a sticky note and stick it on the inside of the door. throw them in the recycling (not the bottom of you locker) when you don’t need them anymore. get into a habit of reading your sticky notes every day.
4- get a planner. write things you need to do every day on the date. make sure you get one with enough room that you can add stuff that it not in school but you still need to remember.

Easy – just keep them organized… If our 4yo girl can do it, you can do it too.
P.S. Like the first answerer, I’m not organized even now, haha

You can have a color binder for each day if you have classes everyother day.
