How Can I Be Happy In The Morning?
When i wake up in the morning to go to school i’m always cranky. I don’t feel like talking alot or anything. I’m 15 years old and it’s not like i have a bad life. I’m physically active and everything, good grades and i have good hobbies. But for the first hour or so of the morning i’m not happy. Why am i like this? Is 8 hours of sleep not enough? How can i be happy in the morning, if not, how long will this last?

wake up to something pleasant.
like, first thing when you get up,
listen to your favorite song.
and make sure youre not rushing when you get up in the morning, and that you have plenty of time.
that helps me.
the more time you have to wake up, the better the morning will go.
if youre trying to rush in the morning because youre sleeping as late as possible, you might consider getting bed even just 30 minutes earlier. it makes a biggg difference.
think about it..if your trying to rush around your house and grab your stuff, are you going to want to take the time to be friendly and talk to everyone around?

My best advice to you would be to wake up feeling grateful that you don’t have a bad life, that you are able to be physically active, and are smart enough to write good grades. You are very blessed if everything you said above is true. There are alot of people out there who are not so fortunate and would gladly trade places you with. You will probably realize this as you get older and as a result you will wake feeling happy and blessed everyday….

i was like that when i was 15..today..i am a resident DJ of a club today and a fitness trainer.
and the best days of my life were.when i had fresh mornings.
make it routine to workout a little bit. every evening.for about 20 mins cuz your 15 and alot of workout is not needed.
sleep at 10.30 everyday,because of workout you will be tired. and you will have a nice and deep sleep and when you wake up,you will have the best mornings ever.

Feeling tired, cranky, or out of it is common in the morning. Developing a routine is the best way to overcome this. You can try reading a good book, eating a breakfast of choice, or even doing your homework. If that doesn’t work, sing in the shower or try exercising to raise endorphin levels. Whatever works for you. Hope you start feeling better!
You will probably grow out of it. On the other hand, some people are just plain thick headed for an hour or so in the morning. That is why so many must have their morning coffee to feel “normal”.
You sound like a great kid. Wait it out. Try “faking” feeling happy, after a while it will become natural. BTW, happiness is a feeling, and like all feelings, come and go.
just ask your parents nicely to leave you alone in the morning so you can have your “quiet time.” you probaly wont be cranky once you have your peace and quiet.
and 8 hours of sleep may be good for some people, but everyone varies. maybe you need i little more sleep. or if you can get up a little later for extra sleep.
Don’t change anything. Don’t worry, if it’s not affecting your grades or hobbies. (IF you don’t yell and scream at your friends every morning) eventually they should understand that…simply…your not a mornign person. And theres nothing wrong with that. Alot of people aren’t. And my dad had to wake up at 2am everyday for work. He wasn’t the happiest of all people in the morning
actually for a teenager 8 hours may easily not be enough some people need 10. try to avoid caffeine 8 hours before bed and get to bed early make sure you are hydrated in the morning and eat breakfast. if you get up early enough take a walk around the block or at the track at school to boost your mood and get you going.
I’m 15 too and most mornings I feel like crap. I heard this thing once and I did do it for a while. Try saying ‘thank you’ to yourself over and over again. With each step you take say thank you. It makes you grateful for what you have and brings more stuff to be thankfull for. I would try it for at least a week and see if it works for you. As cheesy as it sounds it made the rest of my days a lot brighter.

but if you wake up eaarly, have breakie wash ur face with face wash, have a shower the trust me ull feel and improvement.. if you feel fresh and get to school in time you’ll be chattin like wen u chat on da fone in dee arvo. oh and brush ur teeth with powerful toothpaste.. yea and try to sleep early… trust me itll work.. get about 9 hours of sleep
I say you should wake up about 30 minutes early, sit in bed, and then just listen to music to start your day up fine.
I do this and I feel great in the morning, try songs by Weezer and Pixies, happy songs are good.
First of all, the reccomended amount of sleep for teens is 9.25 hours. Second of all… You’re a teenager. You will be cranky every single morning until you’re not a teenager anymore
I am like that too nothing is wrong that is how some people are. My friend sits beside me on the bus one time she asked me do you have a pencil and I groaned and said no when I had a backpack full of pencils.
we’ll your just not a morning person. I’m the same way. I don’t know if your religious or not, but I’d recommend reading a chapter of the bible every morning. it helps.
I know what you mean. Nothing is wrong . I get less than 8 sometimes it’s just the adjustment to a new day. WHy dont u try playing music that you like to wake u up?
before you go to bed have your coffee pot ready to go
and when you wake up have some coffee and bookmark a joke or inspiration page so you can read jokes or inspirations to start out your day

That happens to me all the time loll i just try to not bother anyone and do my own things but if someone gets into myspace i will snap at them ..

Well you could try getting more sleep, take a shower in the morning. Um, watch some tv when you wake up.
Try going to bed earlier so when you wake up you feel more motivated and energized.

Drink a cup of coffee and splash your face with cold water or take a shower it helps wake you up
