How can I become consistent? I feel I’m on the defense in my life. Time management strategies keep failing…
I feel somewhat organized…I keep a daily planner, I document everything, I have 6 filing cabinets…but at the end of the day, the reality is I am totally out of control of my day’s events. I can not keep a consistent sleep schedule, exercise schedule, studying schedule, and I am always rushing from place to place and wondering where the hours go!
Please help- if there is something that has worked for you or has a track record of putting people’s lives on the offense, I need some structure and consistency cuz after 7 years of this lifestyle, I am overwhelmed, look much older, am burning out, and I just dont feel good about myself.
THanks a lot.

I think that you are fast approaching being obsessive compulsive about this and you need to take a serious look at why you are doing what you are doing. If you continue to do what you are doing the end result will always be the same.
Purpose to take a two day break from all your schedule work and see where your mind goes. If it continues to tell you that you need to stay on schedule and that is where your self worth rests then I would seriously suggest that you need some objective discussions with an outsider and most probably a counselor.
Good luck.
Ok, I have three children ages 5, 2, and 5 months ( I had my first at age 17) I attended college full time for the first two years, and now I work 1 full time and 1 part time job, taking care of my familys’ schedule as well as my own.
Hon, if I can do it, you can do it! Suck it up, stop doing things that are unneccesary. 1. choose a day to do laundry, shopping etc. Get some help if you can, and SCHEDULE yourself some downtime. And also if you start something a little early you might feel less anxious or hurried about it ex: wake up 30mins early to get things done (only the important things) and take your time!
Good Luck!
