I’m a very organized person, so here are my suggestions ;
1. Have a binder for every subject you have
2. Have seperators in every binder, therefore you can seperate every different subject in classes you have for example; maths. You’d have a seperator for Algebra, Calculus..etc.
3. Have a pocket folder (I have a folder with 4 pockets…since I have 4 classes). Label them according to the classes you have. Then, everytime you have homeworks, you can put the sheets in every pocket, and then you always bring that folder home.
4. Write in your planner everything! Even if you have nothing in homework, or no tests, write for example. MATHS: nothing!
Hope this helps. I think being organized is a quality, and not everybody has every quality…so maybe it’s just not in you. You could alway try my tips and see how it goes!
1) Use an agenda.
It may be hard to keep this habit up, but make sure you do it. It really helps.
2) Keep a homework binder/folder.
When you get assigned homework in class, put the homework in your homework binder / folder *(If it is not a handed out sheet or if its reading, simply write what it is on a line piece of paper and put it in the folder). When you get home, make sure you empty this folder and finish everything in it.
3) Keep your binder organized.
Get separators to separate your different subjects in you binder, and make sure you keep all of your handouts. What i do is I write all of my notes in colour coded lined books, and keep all of my handouts in duotangs. This really helped me.
Make sure you use your planner to ACTUALLY write your homework.
Make sure you have a binder or folder or whatever is required for your teachers for ALL subjects. Have all notes and papers dated and be put into folders/binders chronologically. Put dividers in your binder to keep everything in its place.
Have your homework in one section so you know where to get it.
Never just stuff papers in your book bag or in books. BIG no-no. It will end up getting lost at the bottom.
Finish your homework on time.
Practice your handwriting if it’s a bit sloppy. You’ll be more organized with neater and understandable handwriting.
Your planner has four uses:
1. Jot down your homeworks and projects and their due dates.
2. Put your daily routine so you can stick to it.
3. A place where you can write down your goals.
4. Also jot down your To-do list everyday
NOTE: Always use your planner!!! Read it everyday!!!
*If anything else fails, use the ff. materials:
1. Folders and Binders for each of your subject.
2. Post-its
3. Agendas
4. Notebooks for each of your subject
5. An Assignment Notebook
Good Luck!!!
I used to have a folder and notebook for every subject that REALLY helped. I took notes in the notebook, and put all handouts and papers in the folder….one side IN (stuff I needed to do) other side OUT (stuff to be turned in). In terms of your planner, make sure you carry it at ALL times. When a date is given, put it in, when a assignment is given, put it in. This should help tremedously.
