How Can I Get Organized And Fast?

you probably have too much stuff – most people do – and that always makes a space hard to keep tidy. i do recommend purging some of your stuff and then take a look at what’s left.
i’m guessing you live at home with mom/dad, so probably everything you own is in this room. i suggest dividing the stuff by category (clothes, jewelry, school stuff, art stuff, computer stuff, etc) and then ask yourself, “where do i most often us this? do you do your homework at your computer desk? accessorize your outfits at your dresser? that place is where that stuff should live. then you need to buy some organization stuff (boxes, plastic bins, baskets, file boxes, etc and just put like things together.
then, make sure you take a few minutes at the end of each day to put anything left around back in it’s spot.

i agree with the other answers.. you should go through all of your stuff and anything you haven’t worn or used in the past 2 years you should donate to good will.. i tend to collect a lot of things too and have to do this every now and then.. it’s a bit easier for me because i’m in an apt but if you just have one room where all your stuff is then it can get cluttered fast.. Make a fun day of it.. put on your favorite music.. put on some comfortable clothes so you can really get down and dirty cleaning.. also if you need organizational bins or units places like Bed Bath and beyond or linens n things have some good stuff for reasonable prices.. Just make it fun and you will be all nice and organized and will be able to think more clearly.. Have fun!

Go to canadian tire or walmart and get 3 or 5 drawer plastic container storage units.Start by sorting your things and assign drawers for each category,15.to 30 dollars,Get storage card board boxes from dollar store.Start in your closet and work through it put seasonal clothes away .Plastic zipper bags good for storage of clothes and can be made air tight..walmart.

do a quick run through with about 5 or 6 baskets medium sz and make one basket for office like stuff,
one for bath and shower , important ppapers and so on,
make sure the baskets are durable, a rubber or plastic tub $1-5 bucks so that they can be easily rummaged thru and place them about…any theme will work with this, post modern, punk, retro, prarie, shabby chic;
also add shoe boxes for bills or papers the envelopes fit perfect length wise and is easy to look thru.
and can be tucke din drawer or under a bed or on a shelf-get fancy n paint them or sticker them up….
I also use Hat boxes to store things in which easily stack and can organize.
Try putting recycled cans of different designs around for pens n pencils, i use pasta sauce jars that resemble old canning jars, u can see right in for what ur looking for and its neat to view if you have hair bands in one, change in another, even earings n jewlry, have fun!
if theres alot of wall space place some baskets n jars on shelves!

Go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of containers and baskets.But first decide what you want to store in each, so you know what size to buy. Put all of your small things in those: pencils, make up, CD’s, small books, hair accessories, papers, etc.
Buy a big rolling flat box (Kmart has them) to roll under your bed for extra storage…sweaters? art supplies?
Fold and put away or hang all of your clothes.
Buy a hanging thing for your shoes to put in your closet.

First thing get some bags and put everything you have not used in a year in the bag and donate.
Next fill another bag with all broken or trash paper items and pitch.
Now you have some room and can organize the rest by category.
