You don’t have to spend a dime to organize your room…as a matter of fact, you could actually make money from it by having a garage sale or donating unwanted items to charity for the tax write-off.
All you need to do is spend time decluttering everything in room, including your closet, your dresser drawers, under the bed, on top of all flat surfaces, book shelves, etc.
Be tough when it comes to making decisions about what to keep and what to part with. Only keep items that you truly need or want…everything else is just clutter tthat will make it more difficult to keep your room organized once you spend all the time to get it organized in the first place.
Here’s a website that will help you get started…

Make sure you _want_ everything you have in your room. Is there anything that could be donated or trashed?
Does the stuff you have left have to _stay_ in your room? Can anything be stored other places in the house?
Add storage space. Get underbed storage boxes, either in clear hard plastic or plastic/fabric. Use overdoor hooks. Add storage solutions to your closet. A shelf or two above your bed are great to store photos and small items, but don’t overload them.
Have a place for everything. Make sure you have places for clean clothes, dirty clothes, shoes, books, papers, etc.
Also, if there’s any chance you can downsize to a smaller bed, even a double, that really helps.
Create a system of what you do every day when you come home, and stick to it. Five minutes of putting things away saves hours later.

Organize your things. Make sure that you only keep the things that you are using. Throw unneccessary items and make it a habit of cleaning your room everyday. Goodluck!
