How can i know what kind of mental problem do i have if i know the symptoms of it?

8

No body ever told that im right about my self in this cuz from outside they see a sane person.
I say that I have lost the connection between me and my self.
I always try to run away from my self, not only cuz i hate it, but also because i dun trust it.
Once i go out in public i try to be someone and forget about my self completely. So i turn to be talktive. And pretend things….which cause me regreting it and feel distracted cuz of annoying thoughts of talking lot with others and feel that there better than me with out being appreciated for things I have….
In fact I live through thinking of others people lives and do them fav.
I lack self -protecting.
I might be an inferior person.
I always think that people have the right to be mean i try to prtoect my self by jus being angry and and talk politly to them.
I can not get my self organised and set goals to my life…cuz i think it does mean nothing to me…in someways.
Any extra info about my statue email it to me….
I know that i always being negative bout almost everything in My life.

Try talking to a shrink.

well it’s good that you’re already self-aware. now it’s up to you to decide whether you require professional assistance or not. based on how you composed your question and the way you deliver yourself, i think all you need is a helpful listening ear from someone dear… someone you trust.

take me for example, i took this online personality test and my test results say i’m bordering schizophrenia. but i didn’t seek professional help. all i did was cope with it and talk to a friend who knows me so well. :)

Do you know the most charming and charismatic person in the world…that person that reflects when you look through the mirror!!!

Well, if you feel that you are not coping you should try seeking professional help. From where I’m sitting it sounds like you are relatively normal, with a bad case of low self-esteem. ‘Symptoms of mental illness’ don’t work like you seem to think. We all have those – they occur on a continuum and one assess them by their severity, not by their mere presence. When such ‘symptoms’ get to a point an which they render you incapable of leading a ‘normal’ life, interfering significantly with your work/school/home life, then you might benefit from a proper diagnosis, simply because it would provide a starting point from which to understand and tackle these issues. If you do try to get help, you might want to look for a cognitive or cognitive-behavioral psychologist, who can help you restructure the beliefs and thinking patterns that make you feel so negative and dis-empowered. You can do this on your own, but it will take a lot of work and will-power. Up to you to decide if you have the right tools at hand or if you need someone to help you discover them in yourself.

every county has a mental health agency that is available to you to talk to someone for assistance…..try and reach out for help and they will help you or find someplace for you to talk to someone……

A very common way to diagnose a mental disorder is by using the DSM-4. DSM stands for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. It is the most widely used manual to help people discover about mental disorders. It assesses 5 dimensions of a person’s mental health
1. Clinical syndromes(general clinical disorders, schizophrenias, etc etc)
2. Developmental and Personality disorders(autism, paranoid, antisocial and so on)
3. Physical conditions(HIV, Cancer)
4. Severity of Psychosocial Stressors(Changes in a person’s life,work,play,relationships)
5. Highest level of functioning(Compares a person’s level of functioning throughout a period of time)

I am a student of psychology and am not really qualified to give an actual diagnosis…but generally that’s how the process is done.

you are a little bit disorientated, huh ? first of all your question is not edited right.you cannot start your search by saying “what kind of mental problem do i have ?”. you are not in position to know if you have some kind of mental problem until you consider it necessary to see an expert. from all the information you ‘ve written, i can understand that you are very confused. ever thought that this is the problem, and there’s nothing wrong with your mental state ?nothing serious, i mean. you practically answer your own question.one serious reason is that you have no goals and you are not organised. so, there’s your problem. even if you went to a shrink, he would, from what you would have said to him, gradually try to locate your inner confusion and come to a conclusion. let me tell you that you can save a lot, by doing a little “research” within you first. set goals for starters, find what you like, and mostly appreciate what you are and what you have. each person is unique, try to remember it, find your talent, whatever that maybe, and evolve it. only by feeling creative, you ‘ll feel alive and well with yourself. and it’s not difficult. what you are doing to yourself right now is even more difficult. the truth is that if you really want to change your life, you have to try. JUST DO IT.

I will take your question seriously. Sanity is not at issue here, but your disordered self esteem is. A relatively new psychological set of theories has developed about the psychology of the “self”. It is next to impossible to just change by “doing it” (you know how to cover up) or self observation—its like trying to look in your own ear.

I think psychotherapy or psychoanalysis could be real options for you. You could benefit from talking to some one and sharing your true feelings where there is no social obligation involved. Therapists are not “friends” but are professionally trained to be familiar with your symptoms and help you see their origins and give you some options for change. Reassurances don’t help because of your inner sense of yourself. In treatment, you will feel things that you feel in other social situations, but you don’t have to keep them secret—rather you can explore them.

If you live near a major city, see if they have an Institute for Psychoanalysis there. Call them and see if they have a reduced fee clinic or can make a referral for you in your area. Psychoanalysts have about 8 more years of training than most psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers (unless they had psychoanalytic training themselves) and evaluate whether analysis or therapy is better for you.

You have a lot of living left to do, see if you can do it more happily and less disconnectedly.
