Your first goal should be to get rid of anything you do not use or need. If you haven’t used it, worn it, or needed it in the last year, it’s time to let it go. Set up three boxes, one for keep, other for donate, and another for trash. Sort your items into these boxes first. Do this room by room to make it easier. Then, once you’ve decided what you’re keeping, sort that stuff into like categories. Then it’s time to decide what you want to do with your space. Look at organization and design books to get ideas and helpful hints, there are several good ones by Better Homes & Gardens. If you can afford it, look for particular storage items that will work well in your space. Make a list of what you’ll need such as closet organizers, shoe racks, storage bins and boxes, trays to sort items in drawers, etc. Then, you can finally organize everything into a system that fits you. For example, you can color code your clothing, or organize by season, style, etc. There’s a million ways to do it, it’s just a matter of finding what works best for you. Good luck!

Start small. Figure out what room would be easiest to start in. Decide what you want to toss out and what you want to keep. Be objective – if you haven’t used something in the last year, chances are you won’t miss it. Give it charity or have a garage sale for things you don’t keep.
I hate clutter, too. At least twice a year, I go through my rooms to purge out things I don’t use and get rid of paperwork I haven’t read. It’s a great thing to have the space free again!

Get desks or drawers in every room. Sort papers. Have all necessary office materials ready. Put things away as soon as you get them. Clean up messes as soon as they happen. Use calendars or planners. Keep track of what you do and what needs done.

1 word, bins. sort stuff into bins, toys, books etc and stack them up so it’s to access

You do not need a web site to get organized!
what you need is to begin purging , start one room at the time otherwise you will be overwhelmed by all the clutter and cleaning up to do . Begin by emptying the drawers and dispose of thing that you no longer need or use ,get some empty boxes or garbage bags. when you have done with that empty the closet pile and select and purge, wash and repaint the walls if you must, buy a couple of basket to put gloves etc… wash walls or repaint ,wash drapes and windows and your done in one room ,then you start the next one and so on , I find that paper accumulation is a big problem for me so I just flip trough it and put it into the recycling bin . I have just begun my Fall cleaning and I have a way to go yet. But it will get done and I will feel better afterword and so will you ,promise!

God knows but when you work it out can you come and do mine – daily i think about putting it all out in the garden and setting fire to it. It drives me mad.

Do only one room per day from top to bottom.
Put everything in its place.
After you get organized, start cleaning one room per day from top to bottom.
Swiss out the toilets each morning after everyone leaves for work and school.
