How Can I Overcome Laziness & Lack Of Motivation?
I need to be more active. By the way, it’s not my weight & body image that I’m worried about, it’s heart disease and other health problems. At first, I’m really motivated, but like a week later, I’m lazy to keep it up even though I know I need to. After a while of being inactive, the cycle starts again. I’m irresponsible & this cycle happens for other things like taking care of pets, or getting good grades. Yes, I’m a procrastinator. How do people have long-term motivation?

Make it a habit.
Instead of running intensely once every 2-3 days.. Go for a light jog everyday.
Everyday, same time. Take your dog out for a walk while you’re at it. There’s no saying how people keep motivated. Some just don’t get bored as easily as others. I have a friend that did the same thing, ate the same thing.. everyday, and never got sick of it.
Think of your family and friends, if you need motivation. They need you and would grieve terribly if you were to go.
On days where you really don’t feel like jogging, go for a walk. It’s second best and its all for the good of your heart.
I’m the exact same way. Generally, like cleaning and stuff…well I play video games a lot (xbox) and the controller dies when batteries run out. I obviously dont have problem playing video games, but cleaning is a different story. So when the controller dies, I clean while it charges.
I find setting up things like even for school and grades, do something you like and when a certain event comes up then it should trigger you into doing something else…like if I want to hang out with friends etc, I clean. Idk thats just my ideas. Good luck
I think the best thing you can do is make a commitment to someone else. It’s easier to break a promise you make to yourself. You can start a workout routine with a friend, so that it becomes more of an obligation than just something you want.
You also have to find a time that suits you best, and if you’re tired all day, you’ve either got to change your diet or get some more rest.
I would advice you to take it easy if you want to exercise…
I mean, do like only 3 times a week and do something you might enjoy…
I’m not the best person to give advice lol im a procrastinator too and really lazy
