How Can I Stop Losing My Temper Without Going Under Any Anger Management???
I was waiting for my train in Dagenham Heathway station in London this morning. Then i saw this british white boy about 6’2, drunk and holding a can of beer and harassing black people while waiting for a train.I swear to god if he ever did that to me i’d be in prison right now and he’d end up with 80 stab wounds in his neck. What sshould i do to control my temper??I feel like one of these days im gonna kill someone like him regardless of the age.Im a tourist here and im an American and we dont put up with this type of harrassment.

Self control distinguishes man from beast. You did control yourself, and that is good. Don’t relish the idea of violence, it is brutish and doesn’t resolve problems.
The drunken idiot is just that, and I am sure the black people he was harrassing were aware that he was two things – drunk and a fool.
PICK SOMEONE BIGGER THAN YOU ,AFTER A FEW GOOD WALLOPINGS YOU WILL SOON LEARN DISCRETION GRASSHOPPER.YOU WILL NEVER STOP THIS KIND OF IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY,BUT IF YOU REALLY MEAN IT, WE CAN GET THE NECESSARY TOOLS.
watch Dexter on FX channel for some advice! he deals with his problems really well!
I don’t see a problem here.
You DID control your anger, otherwise you would’ve confronted the guy. Any violence you committed was only inside your own head, and that doesn’t count. But next time, dont just stew in silence. Call the cops. I don’t know what the U.K. laws say, but what that big clod did would be considered Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and Carrying an Open Container over here and I’m sure the Brits have very similar rules. The only question I have, is why are you carrying a knife, especially if you’re worried that you might misuse it? Leave it at home if you want to avoid trouble.
Notify a policeman. You can offer your assistance to the victim and avoid looking at the offender.
simple: aks President George W bush to give u a million bucks every single day by cash to yr doorstep.that will take away yr temper
Report the bastard to the police. Drunk and disorderly behaviour is a criminal offence and I imagine he would be taken away. Then work on using your anger in a positive way, as a motivation to bring about social change that will reduce and hopefully eliminate such behaviour. Don’t let the goons bring you down to their level.
you need to sort it out before you do stab someone..you more of a threat then the drunk lad at the train station.
sort yourself out and fast
u have to ignore the idiots! its hard to do but they are just lashing out because there lives a misery so they want everyone else to have a sad and unlovable life!
Well, take it from someone who went to anger management – to learn about someone else…and I ended up learning about my own anger and temper (manifested a bit differently than your anger, it seems)…
You have to ask yourself if your anger is valid or justified on a case by case basis. In doing that, you have to ask why you are taking it so personally – this confrontation was between the drunk and those being harassed. Naturally, the compassionate person in you is becoming angry – but there is nothing between you and the drunk going on…yet your blood is boiling. Why can’t you step in and peacefully think of something to say to the drunk…or step in and ask him nicely to come with you – then say something nice to those being harassed…that would go a long way and anger would subside.
You have to be full of compassion to act accordingly in each situation. You have to realize that in getting angry with everyone else, you are only trying to blame someone else for the wrongdoing in your life. Those who have compassion have no ulterior motives and can walk away from almost any situation.
Study about a truly compassionate person…and try to figure out what he or she has that you don’t have…
Good luck!
Try breathing exercises, yoga. I know I know this sounds hoaxy. But it works. I’m an American and a cop. I put up with crap everyday. I started this and my temper and tolerance have become better. Go luck!
Ativan
Smoke marijuana, you’ll still be concerned but you won’t experience such violent emotions
Regular exercise and formal meditation.
You have to learn to deal with them. Remember, the ****** is not an endangered species.
When you let yourself get swept away by righteous anger, you may miss an opportunity to say exactly the right think to teach the oaf a lesson vis-a-vis public humiliation.
IOW, don’t gat mad, get even.
Hi
I have published a book called Forever Happy and Successful that can really help you. It retails for £8.99 but I would be happy to send it to you for the cost of postage if you would give me updates on your progess as you go through the 24 chapters.
Anger management is easy to handle if you know how to go about it.
I disagree! I’d feel the same way. A lot of young people in this country don’t have enough respect. Each generation gets slightly worse than the last. Check next time for cctv and if there’s none, nudge him onto the track…
Ask yourself how the situation would go if you stabbed him and killed him. Your life, ruined right there. All because of some stupid drunk. Don’t let them get to you.
Chill out.
Take a deep breath.. Now another one.
Ask yourself one question when you feel like you are losing control.
DO I WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE IN PRISON???
BTW…
I am a White man and if I saw what you saw I would also want to hit that “white boy”. I don’t like ignorant, racist, bullies attempting to degrade anyone based on skin color.
Go to a GP, ask for a referral to a counsellor/therapist. Do not accept medication, it is useful in some circumstances but won’t solve the problem.
Don’t carry a knife for one thing! Inflicting 80 stab wounds on a racist would not help the cause… If you want to do something (as I would) inform the station authorities. You obviously can control your temper otherwise you would have done something. It’s right to be angry when you see injustice. Just make sure that your intervention never makes things worse!
