How Can I Tell If I Need Anger Management?
Usually I’m very happy and outgoing, but right now I feel so angry. People have been making me mad in the past few days and things have been stressful. (financial problems don’t help, either.) Deep down, I do tend to get upset over small things sometimes. But my parents don’t believe anger management helps anything cuz they’ve known people that it didn’t do a thing for them. Anybody have any advice? thanks!

Go to the library and take out a variety of self-help books on anger management.
Run/jog/run when you feel angry or stressed-out
Get lots of fresh air and exercise in the daytime
Cut down on caffeine and sugar
Drink Chamomile Tea
Take warm baths
Use relaxing lavender aromatherapy (candles, incense, body wash, shampoo, air freshener, etc.).
Meditate (or take out books on how to meditate)–this clears the mind
If all of the above fail, you might need anger management classes.
If your behavior becomes aggressive, you start screaming and throwing things around–you might need anger management classes.
You could also go to your health care provider and see if he/she recommends therapy and/or medication (a relative of mine did–and became a new, better person with them).
If you’re going to school, go to student guidance and ask them for help. If not, seek help at a mental health free clinic.
If you feel out of control when you are angry
if you have too many issues that cause you to get angry
to the point where you lose control then you might need
anger therapy.if you can clearly rationally identify with
the problem then you’ll have better results dealing with
major/minor issues.good luck
you probably need it, anger is just rage turned inward, but it needs to be addressed!
Therapy.. Not some dumb anger management class.. can be very useful. Anger isn’t always the initial feeling. Some people need to learn to distinguish between the feelings. If you want to talk more in depth email me.
i had anger management at skool after i beat the hell out of this stupid guy that tried to rape my frind ( they made me go ) and im still glad i did it..people just have problems and anger is wat people use when they dont use sadness. dont worry about it
If you are a teenager just accept it as a phase you are going through. If you are an adult and your friends start telling you that you need to seek help then by all means seek help. Otherwise learn some deep breathing exercises to calm yourself in times of stress.
Just because you get angry that doesn’t mean you need anger management but if you get ANGRY ALOT and get angry over every little thing thats a different story.
I use to work over a heavy bag everyday after work to get all the crap I had to put up with off my chest. That worked for me.
Can you try meditation with relaxing music playing? You can pretend Jesus is standing beside you or watching you. You wouldn’t do or say anything negative if He was, would you? If something or someone upsets you, hand it over to God. Let God take care of the problem for you and take away your stress and anger. Good luck and God Bless!
