Happiness is not measured by success. I know people who are successful and wealthy and they are not happy. Happiness comes from accepting what cannot be changed and, not settling, but knowing that one cannot have it all. There comes a point where one just needs to be satisfied with how life is for them. My life is not perfect, nor am I successful, but I am happy. I am happy because I have a wonderful husband and a loving family. I do have stresses in my life such as children acting out and helping them with their school work, and other stresses that comes along with having children. I am also a college student. So I have many stresses; however, I try to look at the good things I have in my life to help me balance the stresses of life with the happiness of life.
Just remember this: Money does not/ cannot buy anyone the happiness they seek. Money cannot buy true friends, family, or a significant other.

Yes – it’s a tough one. The actual happy person is content with their own self – they accept themselves as they are – see no big problem with what they’re doing or how they’re living or how smart they are. They know that they’re about as smart as anybody else is – as smart as they need to be. They know they aren’t rich but are doing OK – they know there’s lots of people who are more poor. They know that they’re not like a beautiful movie star, but they’re ok because they’re just human.
And it’s isn’t so much that we’re “happy” with this – we’re just not constantly saddened by something we can’t have.
Buddha says that the source of all pain is our desires – we just want things too much we can’t have. But a little desire is fine.

Has nothing to do with success.
Its determined by how well you deal with the things that Life throws at you on a daily basis. If someone breaks into your vehicle at night and steals it, do you feel sorry for yourself? Do you ever think it could be worse? Do you think it couldn’t get any worse? Or do you think at least the pepetrator did not break into your house and maybe cause more grief? If you can find the good in things, even the worst of things and live by that, then you can be happy. Live Life on Life’s terms and happiness can be yours.

no. I believe that one has to be happy with themself. If they try to think abt everything that makes them unhappy and work on them then they can accomplish a happy state in themselves.

I believe that happiness is only found through God, I know it sounds extremely corny but the thing about being unhappy is usually when one feels like something is missing in their life or there is some kind of gap they can’t fill, usually this is where religion comes in.

Success is relative.
Happiness is a personal choice.
One is not dependent on the other.
