Focus your life around other people and not your self. Yes, taking care of yourself is very very important but by not solely focusing on our selfs we learn our part in the world. When we start to realize that we can make a difference ins someone else’s life and to help someone else live a better life, we feel good about ourselves. We start to realize that matter in the greater world no matter what anyone else says. We need to take our lives into our own hands and do things that will prove to ourself the most that we matter and that we can make a difference in this world. Some times we have to realize that just because someone else says that we don’t matter or that we won’t make something of ourself doesn’t make it true!!

I fixed that one by going back to 9th grade and getting a GED at age 33, with 5 kids still at home. Then I spent 5 years getting a BS, and finally a MA. Got more letters after my name than any of the ones who’d been putting me down since babyhood. Turned out that they did it because of their jealousy. Had me convinced that I would never be able to learn to read until I was in 3rd grade. Now I realize that I had been reading since I was 4, just didn’t believe it because of their putting me down all the time. Now they’re trying to tell me that I have a long history of mental illness. That’s their desperation to convince themselves that they’re better than I am. Once you challenge yourself to prove them wrong, you’ll prove it to yourself.

Stop thinking about how you were put down your whole life and find things you like to do and enjoy. Life is Good. The people that put you down are insecure a.holes and that just made their egos larger and made themselves feel better about themselves. It got them nowhere. Because of them, your character will be built to withstand a whole lot more scrutiny and disdain as you grow and mature. See what you are skilled at and what you enjoy, and concentrate on those. Everyone is blessed with talents, find yours.

You need to look at things in a realistic frame of mind. Look at all the positive points of your life, like what you can do or have done that were positive in your life. My dad told my brother and myself that we couldn’t do that, when it was swomething he didn’t think we should do or something that he wouldn’t do his or couldn’t do himself. All of that preaching and browbeating he did brainwashed both of us into thinking we couldn’t do anything at all. My brother ended up going to a physcalagist to get his head straightened out. I was able to do it myself after I got out from under his influence. It is all a frame of mind. If you believe in yourself and believe you can do something, then you can and everytime you think to yourself that you can’t do it or shouldn’t do it, ask yourself a question. Why can’t I. There is no one to tell me I can’t, thus there is no reason I can’t do it. Push yourself off the edge of the table and jump into the pool of life. Living is all we have in our lives and letting someone’s browbeating ruin it for us is something you just can’t do and I think it does a lot of good for someone in your demise to confront the person that you fear or is challenging you and tell them just how you feel about the way they treated you in the past and that you are not going to put up with it anymore. Good luck.

by not analyzing it anymore…people will say you need to look deep down and realize your worth it…NOPE its as simple as it seems look in the mirror and just say it “i deserve to be treated better, i demand respect and i am going to be confident” sometimes too many books or lectures make you think its WORK to find self esteem, when all it is , is to relax say screw everyone screw the past START OVER. you will be treated better once you feel confident and once you start showing you like yourself. HOW DO YOU DO THAT? by just saying this is me i have ONE life and im going to make the best of it regardless of what anyone has said! JUST DO IT! no matter what your into, no matter what youve done or havent done, no matter who has crushed you, you will and always can get back up and step on all that as you walk. GOOD LUCK dont overdo it or depress yourself with too much contraversy over it. its simple its easy and it takes one time of just saying it and meaning it and doing it.

First thing you have to do is get away from that which is making you feel this way. Look for your friends that make you feel whole again.

You need to make yourself feel worthy. Dont listen to what others say.
Some ways to build selft esteem is buy getting a new pretty haircut, a new outfit, go to a tanning salon and get a nice base tan and live a happy life. You let the people put you down and dont do it anymore.
You ARE better and you CAN build your self esteem. Good Luck and only think positive for now on.
Help at shelters and look at those less fortunate than you and think how it would be if you were in their shoes.

you need to be able to see yourself for who you are. dont look at yourself through other peoples eyes.
