How Do Goals Influence Adolescent (teens) Achievement? What Types Of Goals Should They Set?
Goals enable teenagers to achieve the good and avoid the wrong. Goals should be realistic and preferably long term so they keep you well associated and distracted from other awful things counting from drugs to sex. Educational, athletic, job related, or even love related goals can be assessed and should be practiced well with dignity and hope. Even if something goes wrong, don’t give up and keep your dream. My goal is to study medicine so I can grow up to help the needy and the poor and join the UNICEF as a member to help people around the world. I know it will take a long time to be achieved but it will help me live an honorable life. Good luck

The only thing is teens change their identity constantly, so goals are kind of hard to stick with sometimes.
I would say a good one would be to get As and Bs in school
it sounds cheesy, but my parents were the major influence in my achievment. y’know, I wouldn’t be the adult I am now if I didn’t have my parents constantly on my case for those first 17 years. If I didn’t have enough ambition to do something, they *gave* me ambition.
Steer a kid towards a goal. how about a goal like *college*? How about a goal of straight A’s? How about a goal of making varsity?
As long as the goal never feels futile, the kid isn’t going to give up. Encourage them so they never feel helpless or useless. That kind of despair is crippling.
Oh, and know their crowd. Kids don’t break out of molds very easily, so if your son or daughter hangs out with a bunch of underachievers, that can have a negative influence on their behavior.
Theres no point in being alive if you do not have goals. Setting and achieving goals is the way of life. Goals should be realistic. Set small achievable targets. Try to break up your final goal into small achievable individual goals as this will motivate you and help you keep going towards ur aim.
Goals affect everyone no matter your age …the important fact to remember is to not stop at setting the goal ..your on the right track .. but a goal without steps to acheive it..is only a dream or a wish .. when you sit down with your teen to set a goal that they can get excited about ..then you also set a plan in motion on how to achieve it .. “plan your work ..and work your plan” ..without the plan your building a house without a blueprint and it’s not going to happen .. then as their doing their small tasks to achieve their goals ..they know their that much closer to getting what their working for and puts the bigger picture a little closer for them .. start small and then add on to their goals ..so when they achieve the first one they have something else to work towards as well …it’s a great life lesson ..we never stop working for something ..that’s called the living dead …and believe it or not ..there’s alot of them walking the streets daily ..doing their routine duties daily..and just working for nothing in particular ..it’s scary … good luck with your teen ..and your doing a great job teaching them about working and achieving goals in life ..
