How Do I Become Really Organized?
I’ve never been an organized person.
EVER!
I’ve always been the messy kid.
But I need to get my act togther this year because I am:
Starting High School
Doing Riding Lessons
Getting a job to save up for a part board
Getting and helping to train a new golden retriver puppy.
What tips do you have on making a shedule for myself, stop procrastinating, get good grades and orginize my room and locker.
Tall order I know but I need help!
My school starts at 8:20 and ends at 2:57
I’ll be doing music, religion, gym, and math this semseter.
Can you give me a supplies list and maybe a shedule for my day or how to make one?
What about balancing my time with all I have going on?
PLEASE SAVE ME!
thanks in advance!

1. To stay organized in school buy a small binder for each subject. In that binder have one section for your notebook, one for incomplete homework, one for completed homework, and one for handed back tests and old assignments.
2. Buy a student planner. One about the size of a normal notebook that has plenty of room to write. Use it to write down homework assignments as soon as they are assigned. Also use it to write the dates and times of extra curricular activities such as your riding lessons or puppy training classes.
3. To balance you time write numbers next to each active or bit of homework you have. Start at one for the most important thing on your list (such as an assignment that is due the next day) then keep numbering in order of importance (the last number might be a long term project or meeting with a friend) That way you know what you need to get done ASAP and what can wait until later.
4. To organize your room try buying storage bins. Your riding things can go together in one, your school things like your back pack and binders can go in another etc. Organize your clothes by dedicating one drawer per type of clothing. For example one drawer for long sleeved shirts another for short sleeved shirts, one for long pants another for shorts. This will also save time when desiding what to wear to school.
5. To keep a neat locker buy locker shelfs and have one shelf per subject. On the shelf you can put your binder for that subject and the text book or anything else relating to that subject. Or you can color code things. Like buy a blue book cover and a blue binder for math, a green book cover and green binder for religion, etc.
6. Write the dates and times of your shifts in your planner. Don’t number those as you go through your planner, just know that you have to work that day when you go to number your priorities.
Get a To Do list so you don’t forget something and try writing a time and date goal next to them. Try looking on your schools webpage for your supply list. They usual have it on there.
