I have a bad temper. Do they have anger management classes or support groups? Or do I have to see a therapist? How do I go about finding an anger management class? Anyone know of any web sites?

My ex-husband had to take an anger management class. I found that if you call the local state or county probation unit in your area and not tell them anything about yourself that they don’t need to know that they can recommed a place. You can also talk to someone in AA meetings even though that is not your problem. They work with places that not only have to due with drugs and alcohol but “life coaching facilities”

Call the court house and ask the court secretary or clerk. They would probably know as many judges send people for anger management in lieu of fine or jail time.

Check the websites of local hospitals, that will be your best bet. You may have to make a few phone calls, but it will be worth it.

ask to see a therapist and they might handle it for you, sometimes we get the idea it’s a group meeting in our heads, but mostly for larger cities when there court forced managment classes. I suggest calling around or maybe somoene you know has a good therapist.

If you are over 18 call the human resource place in your area, I bet they can help you.
Good luck finding a class I am sure they have one….If under 18 you will have to go to your parents and ask them.

Ask your family doctor for a referral to a licensed counselor in the area. Or google your city/state and “anger management”.

morgansw @ 8:06 pm #

look for Family Services in the phone book. If they don’t offer help they should be able to refer you to where you need go.
