In order to apply to the FBI, you need to be at least 24 years old. I suggest you concentrate on school and then get a college degree. Keep yourself out of trouble and try to get involved in law enforcement activities or get experience–military and law enforcement experience will help you out in your application.
The FBI application process takes a long time–oftentimes years, so don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
I’m not sure whether you want to be a law enforcement officer or a gangster or a crooked cop!
If you wish to be an FBI special agent Rule #1 stay in school, Rule #2 stay away from drugs, Rule #3 stay out of trouble. FBI requires a squeky clean background including bad credit, judgements against you, child support, DUIs, minor convictions, youth offender issues, anything.
FBI also requires a college degree. Such as Law, Law Enforcement, Accounting, Foriegn Languages, Pshcology, Computers. Law and Account being the two primary degrees. It also helps if you have some law enforcement experience such as from the military.
Start in high school with advanced english, math, accounting, and a foriegn language. Stay out of trouble. Join the Army or Air Force with a law enforcement MOS, save your money for college, and get as many college credits as possible while on active duty. Get out of military (with a spotless record) and finish your degree.
Now if you want to be a gangster or crooked cop, ignore Rules #1, #2, and #3 and you will do just fine.
May googling for law enforcement information or directly contacting the FBI to see how to get starting in working on a career in law enforcement with them.
my husband wants to be a forensic psycologist, (division in the fbi) he has to do three years law enforcement before he is eligible to go.
Plan on going into the military or at least college for criminal justice. Work in law enforcement for a few years and then apply to join the FBI.
