Just keep on reminding yourself that no ones perfectly happy with themselves, and you’re totally normal for having low self esteem
remember that not everyone is going to like you, but there’s people out there who are going to love you for who you are, and by talking to new people, you’ll find some of those good, true, friends

good luck

Write down all the positive things about you & also have your family & trusted ones to write ‘em down. Then talk about it with them. Also, if you are lacking somewhere make it a project to fix it.

Focus on your positives- everyone has positive things about themselves.

Also when you meet someone new – even if you are walking the dog – or at the check out. Compliment the person (male or female):- If you like their shoes – tell them. If you like their nail polish – tell her. If you like his aftershave – tell him. If you like his shirt – tell him (where did u get it? etc). Everyone LOVES to get a compliment. In turn they will immediately like you and this will give you a boost to your confdence.

Pretend you’re not unconfident, just talk to people, think of something to say in advance if you really have nothing, otherwise just listen to conversation and join in, or talk about something thats going on at the time that you’ve both got in common, like something going on at work or school. Lots of the time if you screw it up and make a fool of yourself or something like that, just keep in mind that the other person will forget it pretty soon, if you know someone well they’ll remember your embarrassing stuff but only for fun, if they dont know you well they’ll probably be more polite and less interested as well, and so they’ll forget about it, they’re probably too busy being self conscious themselves too. and you might not even have to see them, or at least talk to them again, so theres nothing to lose. I’m heaps shy but no one who didnt know me before year 8/9 at high school would think that, I just made myself seem confident and it worked, although sometimes its a problem too, you can turn into someone your not and thats a bit hard sometimes

First of all, make sure you are feeling good about yourself. Make sure you are comfortable in your clothes. Its easy to feel crappy when you are not dressed the way you think is nice. Also, i know when i have my hair nicely done, i feel a lot more confident. I dont think anyone will think “oh she just rolled out of bed”.

i know is sounds materialistic but it really works for me. My attitude when i wear my gym clothes out, and when im wearing a cute new dress is sooooo different. If thats not a problem, try being more open and interested in other peoples lives. People love talking about themselves, so ask questions. But also, don’t follow people around and potentially annoy them.

Good luck!
