How Do I Stop Smoking Weed So I Can Gain Motivation Again?

13

i’ve been playing bass for 2 years now and i started smoking weed about a year ago. its my ambition in life to be in a famous band and make it big but weed is getting in the way of that cause i don’t have any motivation to play bass anymore or to do anything.
i want to tell my parents i’ve been smoking twice a week for the past year because i want them to ground me and get more strict on me so that i can’t do it at all. but i don’t have the courage to tell them.. What do i do?

Stop smoking.
Grow up.
If you ARE grown up, stop smoking.
Live on your own.
Play your music, get real and you won’t have to tell your mommy & daddy. The weed isn’t helping you become an adult. Only you can do that. Good luck with your music and in life.

get rid of all of your weed so you cant smoke it anymore and you NEED to tell some one or it will only get worse tell a friend if it will help but you have to tell your parents so they can help or it will just get worse and make sure that you get the point across to them that you REALLY want their help and do it now or it will just get worse and i mean now or it can strongly endanger you future so tell them it will make your life a lot better
TELL THEM YOU REALLY NEED TO

marijuana doesn’t take away motivation, you’re just using it as an excuse. if you want to quit just quit, its not hard. marijuana withdrawal (if you can even call it that) is very mild and short lived, typically a week and you won’t even think about it anymore.
stopping smoking isn’t gonna magically make you motivated, though. that comes mostly from having confidence in yourself, or more likely, having a reward for your work.

It’s not difficult to stop smoking weed. All you really need is 1 good weekend away from your normal weed environment. Make sure you throw away all of your weed stuff before you leave, so that it’s not there when you get back. Upon your return you can get back on track with your music.

You need to decide that your motivation outweighs your desire to smoke anymore. If you see it’s getting in the way of your ambition, then you need to stop. 2 times a week isn’t to the point where you should be addicted, so you have to want to stop enough to achieve your goal.

the little addiction weed has only last for about 2 to 3 weeks so just dont smoke for 3 weeks and your desire to smoke will go down a lot.. but you will still want to get high.. but then you just have to have the will power to stop

I think you have to be motivated to quit smoking weed. It isn’t so easy, but you can if you really want to quit. Also you must have a strong temper.

Just pretend like you have a big drug test coming up. Also, start chewing gum. Always carry a pack pf gum wherever you go.
Or, you could carry a bunch of lollipops around. that way it keeps your mouth busy.
