How Do I Truely Live Life To The Fullest And Find Out What Is My True Purpose In This World So I Can Be Happy?
I have been on earth for 25 years. I have been occationally happy. I often struggle with not knowing what is it exactly what is it that i am suppose to do, whats great deed?. I have all these desires in my heart of the things i think will make we happy, but sometimes i am not sure if they really will. I believe in who i am, i value the deep and meaninful things in life, for me its never been about quantity but about quality, i appreciate people, i appreciate life, but i face the cold and heartless world each day and i begin to wonder if that is enough, because to find deepness, realness and truth has become like a single sand on an entire sea shore. I would appreciate if someone can share their perspective with me, regarding my question. Thank You.

Most people I know who are happy are the one’s who make sure they enjoy the ride. In other words, happiness isn’t a static state of mind, it’s a process, a bye-product of making sure as much of the day counts as possible without driving yourself into the ground. John Lennon’s line “Life is what happens while you’re making other plans” can just as well apply to happiness.
Also, it’s important to know that wanting what you get is probably more important than getting what you want.
Obtain as much knowleadge as possible, read, relate to others, find wisdom. we our on this earth to help oneanother. People have become so materialistic and money hungry that weve lost tuch with whats truely inportant. So keep searching the journey of life. And believe in a higher power. wether it be God or Mother nature you have to believe in something to feel complete.
Be content with what you have and what destiny have dealt you.
Good Luck!
I am in my late thirties and I still dunno.
Sorry I cannot be more positive
Living life to the fullest is not an easy task and finding the true purpose of life is something that people are still searching but none can find, instead they only realise the purpose of life when they gave their last breath.
To find the purpose of life is to live each day to the fullest like you are doing now and face everything with a positive mind.
For example, even if you fail in doing something, just continue doing what you are doing, and don’t give up…
I understand that sometimes you might not know what to do next when you first wake up…everyone experience that…
Then its time for you to try something new in your life, like a new hobby, interest or just something new…
To know if the desires in your heart really can make you happy, you need to think at least 5 times what will you feel and what will happen if you got that desire fulfill…Then if you are still sure that it brings happiness, i suggest you to go ahead. Your attitude over life is very admirable.
Everyday when i wake up, i always have the stress from my workplace and school of course…at first i nearly snapped because of over-stressing myself but then i began to take things easy and maybe cutting my time on homework and doing my duties quicker with less time so i get more time to sleep and relax. And now i feel better even if my work are mountains high…and i definately don’t feel that stress during exams anymore…
I think your over analyzing. People are instinctly good. Everyone wants the same thing, to be happy. Once you realize that, maybe your outlook won’t be so dark. Even if people are dishonest or mean, deep down, they all want to be loved and accepted just like you. We’re really not all that different. Hold it in your heart that happiness lies within you, noone else has the power to take that away unless you hand it to them.
i often feel the same, but there are ways of becoming filled with peace, most involve meditating and focusing on the divine. i suggest practicing a daily meditation (5-10 mins a day) here are a few to try
- non thought, try to remove all thoughts from your mind, this is very hard but be persistent, its worth it
- Hold this thought for as long as possible- God is everything.
- concentrate on your breathing, but let it come naturally.
- a good way to meditate is to concentrate on a single emotion, it could be anything, from anger, to sadness. my eg is happiness
firstly try to remember all the things that make you happy, play situations and thoughts in your mind until you are atchally feeling that happiness, then hold the emotion in your mind for as long as possible, if you lose it then repeat the process.
hope it helps.
I have found some great answers in Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism. Try getting in contact with your local Soka Gakkai International (SGI)
I don´t know where you live (I am in Argentina), but shure there is a SGI on your country. Ask to have a talk with someone there, they´ll be happy to help you!
Though I strongly believe I cannot answer that question for you, I can give you what I use to keep myself happy.
I often time find myself downtrodden due to the lack of humanity that exists on the Earth and so few people have a low amount of tolerance for differences. There is corruption everywhere and everyone has to degrade one another, as if that single person knows so much better than the one they are criticizing. If that is they case, then why don’t they just take the situation over?
Sorry, I digress. What I use to keep myself centered is to take a moment to view a part of nature that I find beautiful. Even if you cannot make it to a place that is not naturally lovely, find a location outside where you can sit and not hear the busy hustle and bustle of street cars, alarms, etc. Close your eyes and just listen to the sounds of the wind. Breathe deeply and just listen.
Concentrate more on yourself during those few minutes. Think about what truly makes you happy. Good music? Something you did for someone else? Is there a particular moment in your life that you hold precious amongst others? Once you find something, whatever it is that is troubling you will seem so frivolous. And when the ugly stressor rears its face again, just smile and take a second to reflect on the realization that life isn’t always bad.
Another point to take is that if we didn’t have some bad times, those great times would probably have not been considered “great” because there would have been no comparison. It is the awful that make the good seem so beautiful. “This is just an obsticle to get through so that I can continue on with what is good in life.”
