Rejection is something guys learn to cope with early on. We learn that you have to cast many times before you get a bite. Women on the other hand are taught that men are indiscriminate and will go for any woman because we have no taste and standards. So when a woman pursues a guy and is rejected they are devastated.
So here is the truth, men and women have standards, we each have our own unique tastes respond to those who meet our criteria.
Generally speaking men don’t anchor their self esteem on their ability to attract women, women however base most of their self worth on their ability to attract a mate. This is why a womans ego is so fragile.
So in answer to your question, just accept that you wont appeal to every guy and be the person you are not the person you think you need to be.
give yourself time, the self esteem will get back to normal, if its with the same person, then i suggest that u move on from that idiot, why would u want to stay with someone that rejects u anyway. If its with someone else, do not compare the two together, just give the new relationship a try, no two relationships can ever be exactly the same, so just give yourself some time, and u will see the self esteem will get back to normal!
Work on self improvement! Exercise, eat right, get plenty of rest. Exercise releases endorphins which not only help the body’s relaxation mechanisms, but also calm the mind as well. Once you find your body starting to feel and look more tone, your self esteem will skyrocket, because you will realize that nobody controls your self-esteem but YOU!
Go to a club and find someone else to build it up for you! Could meet someone to do that anywhere – it helps also if you make a list of your good qualities, pull some out of your personality and your character.
To find your knight and shinning armor will take many tries – trails and errors and when these realtionships don’t work out they don’t have to hurt, it’s just part of expereincing and learning and part of the journey live is to be lived, date and date many, being honest with all whom you date, some may not be able to handle this and others will be just fine with it- when you are ready and the time is right and you do find someone that feels the same way about you as you do about them, you’ll know and thats when you tell others now I’m committed… and you go from there. Never hurt over realtionships ending be greatful for the time you had and greatful for the time has ended b/c you know and trust that something bigger and better awaits you…
Dont take it personally. Different people like different things. Rejecting you might be one of the biggest mistake’s he’ll ever make, or it could be the best thing that ever happened to you. Take it in stride, and move on, DONT dwell on it. The more you act as if nothing happened, the more he will be forced to re-consider. Then YOU have the upper hand.
Im going to sound like a broken record becaue I always say the same thing with these type of questions. Exercise!!! Get on a GOOD diet, and put yourself on a great workout regiment (cardio + weightlifting). You will feel 100% better about yourself when you get into shape, you’ll forget all about being rejected because every hot guy will be all over you!
Keep looking for someone who won’t tear down your self esteem. Be your self. Don’t try to project yourself as anything you do not feel comfortable with. Extremes don’t work. Find the middle ground. Keep telling yourself “I’m not a bad person” Become at ease with yourself.
It is there loss. Be you and find someone who does it for you in all ways and you can offer the same. Someone being attracted or not attracted should not cause you to question yourself. Your self-esteem may already have problems. You self-worth should be internal on external.
OMG—–DO YOU REALLY ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHTS OF YOU MAKE “YOU” FEEL BAD??? HONEY PLEASE YOU GOING TO SHORTEN YOUR LIFE SPAN……..GET OVER IT, DO YOU THINK THAT EVERYONE YOU ENCOUNTER IS GOING TO DESIRE YOU??
THAT’S NOT REALISTIC….EVERYONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE HAS BEEN REJECTED….SO JOIN THE CLUB WITH US REGULAR PEOPLE LIKE BOTH HALLE BERRY AND JANET JACKSON HAVE BEEN REJECTED AND THEY BOTH ARE MORE BEAUTIFUL AND WEALTHIER THAN THE AVERAGE!!!! AGAIN JOIN THE CLUB!!
It’s an interested question, it takes time for sensitive people, and you are one of them, the only cure is to get involved with new stuff, but don’t misjudge your next choice.
you just do, if you crawl up into a shell after every rejection every failure you will never be happy in life. Life throws a series of obstacles at you what you do there will define who you are so never give up
they do not now what they have missed out on. find your way back to the man that is sitting next to you! and has aways been there. all your life!
just do all those things that make you happy…………i mean your hobbies and go around and chat to guys………..
Just thank God you didn’t end up with this person, its their loss.
