How do you get yourself organized?
Sometimes I look around my house and my paperwork and I say “What a mess” how do you get organized at home or at work…I could use a little advise.
….sometimes I write myself a list as to what to do and time myself, this works when I do it however I would like to hear other ideas.

I believe that paperwork is the hardest thing to keep organized. But here goes: Buy a fire proof filing cabinet with a lock. Create files for important paper work. Second by a shreder (very important in this day and age). Ideally when you get your mail you throw out, shred and file. You know that ain’t gonna work right? So what I do is have a general file throw all important papers in it to be filed when I’m ready, like a rainy day when I’m watching tv. Second, have a basket or bin for all those magazine’s and catalogs and junk you don’t have time to bother with or think you may use–same thing when your ready one day just sort it all on the floor and throw out what you really don’t need and file what you do. It’s the only thing that works for me. Put me on a schedule and it’s too much like work. Good luck.
