How do you live sane, happy, and normal in an abnormal world of unhappy nutbags?

lol! Not everyone is an unhappy nutbag but generally, how do you stay sane, happy and normal in a world that has lots of those other things in it?

I mean don’t those things seep in eventually or at least create a negative environment which can shape you to be worse, etc?

I’m sure it affects us all on some level, even subconsciously.

See where it’s happening already and have that be the main attention factor.

Stay away from dumb people. I find stressing logical points on topics that the general population finds illogical. A key way to separate dumb people from smart people. Try to narrow your points down. Don’t use broad topics like politics. Women usually use this technique. They tend to act dumb just to listen to your statements. I don’t advise that approach. Why, because it makes you look stupid.

your subconscious is like a program what ever you program it to do on auto it will! so if you allways accept the nutbags they your subconscious will control that!

it’s your choice what you let in and out! I have found if you only focus on yourself (not in a selfish way) and work towards your own good and what you want out of life!
you really can’t find time to accept or even notice the nutbags as you put it!
yes some times it does seep in i will not lie here! but i can not let someone elses exerpiance or emotions control me! that’s too weak for me and i’m stronger then that! (okay so i’m still working on it here and there) but overall i let it go if it don’t involve me with my goals why should i really waste that energy accepting the neggo into my life!

but you only let so much in and your cool!
i guess you do need balance in everything!

What is your definition of sane? Everyone has a different conception of what sane is. Yes, this world is chaotic. It goes back to a sticker I got 10 years ago it said, “Normal people are the ones you don’t know!” There is no such thing as normal because everyone thinks they are “normal” but to me you may not be “normal”. The way I stay sane is by knowing no matter what I do someone will find me insane.

i don’t know — i’m a nutbag. i’m not unhappy but i hate positive thinking so i guess i’m negative.

btw, calling *most* people negative nutbags makes you a negative person yourself ;) that’s a really negative outlook.

Your first mistake is the word “sane”……happiness comes much easier without it!!

I stay home, live in the country and surround myself with the things I love. I focus on my children, my family, and what is important in the grand scheme of things.
You can have days where you turn on the radio, computer or work environment and come home thinking life stinks, people are dumb, and what’s the use in living. – but then you realize, hey, my life is what I choose to make it.
