Being enthusiastic is wanting to go and do something!
Being positive is being sure that you can go and do something, without makeing the actual act of doing it.
They’re the same… only different!!
Being enthusiastic is in juxtaposition with reality, and therefor creates expectations that may not be met, resulting in dissapointment and leading away from a positive attitude.
Being enthusiastic is just a way of excitement, wanting to do something good. It’s a frame of mind at the moment. Where as a positive attitude is something that comes from within. You can be enthusiastic while being positive and they can work together. Such as you’ve found a way to make something work for you, perhaps in your job or the way you do a particular task. “You’re enthusiastic because you’ve found what works for YOU”… at the same time you’re positive because you know it works for you.
It’s basically the law of attraction whereas you’re excited because you’re doing something that you “think” is positive. But it can also be negative as well. The law of attraction is where the universe evolves itself to your way of thinking. Everything is working together to make whatever you’re thinking, feeling and saying and doing to come back to you. Doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative. So you have to be a little more conscious in your thoughts and the things you say and feel to make it work together and come together in a positive manner.
Being enthusiastic doesn’t do those things, it’s just a feeling for that moment.. positive, is an energy, just like negative is. See the difference?
Hope that helps
I think being enthusiatic still leaves the possibility of getting in trouble open…
Having a positive attitude doesn’t…
I am enthusiastic on some things but I have a very negative attitude. Anyone who lived the life I have would have a crappy attitude. I try to be positive but it is so hard for me. I can’t seem to get over all the deaths of the people I loved. Of course the people I hate don’t die. How unfair is that. My father was a great man and parent and the vessel that contained me for nine months is a total sympathy sucking martyr.
Pretty much same thing, now optimism is different.
I would say there is a slight difference. Positive attitude means you’re all around “upbeat” (happy go lucky).
Enthusiastic normally refers to someone’s passion for one particular thing (or group of things). Example: Jim is very enthusiastic about his job. Meaning he REALLY enjoys it… he’s passionate about it.
Jim has a positive attitude about his job would mean he’s upbeat in general when he’s at work. Jim isn’t neccesarily passionate about his job… but he’s got a good attitude.
Hope that helps,

hmm good question
I think enthusiasm can go down as something goes wrong. And, well the other, you know what they say, keep a positive attitude.
That’s how I think it goes tho.
enthusiastic is being passionate to a specific thing.
positive attitude is being passionate to life as a whole.
you can be enthusiastic for a new job but have a negative attitude towards your colleagues.
You can be enthusiastic about something that turns out to be negative. You can keep a positive attitude when everything seems to be woing wrong. See the difference?
No they are not the same. Enthuasism is showing excitement or interest whereas being positive is more of a state of mind or about attitude.
I think they are the same.
enthusiasm—-means to have intense interest A positive attitude — is having a positive disposition or outlook. Looking at something in a positve manner. Hopes this helps
