How Has Organized Religion Harmed Society?

well you got Christians killing anyone who spoke blasphemy during the middle ages.you got arabs killing and burning down people and cities to spread islam.arabs enslaving blacks whether is was because of islam or not they did it before Europeans.after the renaissance you got Protestants vs Catholics in religious wars.today countries like saudi arabia and iran have horrible crimes agaiinst humanity. Islamic law can be seen as barbaric but its still in practice today.70 million hindus died for not converting to islam i think during the late middle ages, not sure about the date.

The problem with religion is they believe their religion is the only way and if you don’t want to follow them then you are wrong. When they start chaning laws to “fit” their beliefs it begins to destroy our society. Religion is very bad for a country.

The provision of hospitals, schools, the direction of law and justice, charity work, looking after the poor, the Red Cross…
… these are all vile and terrible and must be stopped immediately.

It stunts human intelligence by preventing questioning and rational thought and makes people ashamed of natural behaviour.

Sounds like whoever asked for this essay is extremely biased! Christianity built western culture, without it things would be very different on this planet.
