How Many Of You Have Participated, Organized Or Called For Our Troops To Be Bought Home From Iraq? Y Not?
Most know Iraq was a mistake. Innocent people are dying, our brothers, sisters, husbands and wives are coming home in body bags. Kids and innocent Iraqis are in the crossfire. We spend billions in blood money, and cant take care of ourselves. Once looked up to now we are despised. Our healthcare is sickening in itself. Are you trying to change things? Do you care? Organize in schools, churches or any meeting places. Look up the facts and act. So my question is who really cares? And whos all talk.

MY brother is in Iraq as I type and he insists we should remain there until the “job is done”. HE tells me how badly those people hate us and he heard how they would kill him in his sleep if given the opportunity. He feels the only way to make the US safer is for the troops to stay there plugging away. I don’t know if I agree with all of that, but I understand his side of it. That is why the US is so great, we are allowed to voice our opinions. I also think a lot of this war could have been avoided. So I continue to write the troops letters and send them boxes of cheer in order to keep their spirits up. I tell them how thankful we are that they are there so we may sit here on your butts and complain about how much gas costs. We must remember they are fighting for our freedom, and they are fighting for their lives as well.
Did you know that, after every single ground troop is pulled out of Iraq, there will still be a U.S. military presence in that area? The U.S. Navy has had ships in the Persian Gulf for over 100 years. Some are stationed there permanently and some are assigned there for overseas deployments. I was in the Navy from 1984-1988, and we went there in 1985. We were there during the Iran-Iraq war to escort tankers. We were not at war with either side, so we had to get permission from Washington to use our weapons to defend ourselves. I’ve known sailors that were killed there during that time. So, even if every ground unit gets pulled out of the area, remember to support those of us who are still going there.
Have been involved for 2 years.
Not enough people give a dam to give up a Saturday or Sunday in front of the boob tube to come out. They just sit like lemmings and let it all happen.
Betcha if they bring back the draft you’d get plenty of peoples attention. If that nitwit in Washington decides to invade Iran, the draft will come back.
Maybe then the lazy will be ready to take action.
