Buy some baskets & start organizing things that are lying around. Start at the front door & work your way towards the back & you should have it in better shape within 6 months. Buy a paper shredder for your unwanted mail & papers & keep it near the place where you open & sort your mail & pay your bills! Get in the habit of taking the trash out on a daily basis & buy sponges for the kitchen in bulk packages. Never use them for more than 2 weeks to avoid the nasty smells & keep a can of comet cleanser under every sink to clean the sink & the scrubber sponges!

Try flylady.net. It’s free, it’s all positive, and you can get email reminders and stuff to do in 15 minutes or less. Good luck! (:

Get help from your family, or you can hire a maid.

Try cleaning and organizing one room a day. In that way, you only spend a few minutes out of each day, working on it. Either early morning, or right when you get home. After a while, you’ll find that the whole house has an improved look, and you’ll start feeling good about it and yourself.
