How To Keep House Tidy, De-clutter And Be More Organized?

6

What are some suggestions to keeping my house in tidier shape, less clutter, more organized and looking neat? I am a stay at home farm wife with two kids and a husband that I help do the outside farm work. I am finding I just can’t get my house tidy (enough) it just is never what I’d like it to be…any tips, suggestions or ideas would greatly help. Thank you.

Two most inspiring sources I have used:
on tv (available still by rental and free by YouTube clips):
How Clean is Your House? (the two funny British ladies)
andhttp://www.flylady.net
for helpful cleaning tips, motivators, etc. FLY stands for “finally loving yourself,” and is mainly directed at women and moms, covering everything from taking care of yourself in every area from eating right, keeping on top of the house, getting a little daily exercise, keeping organized and on time, etc.

I shouldn’t be answering because I can’t help you. But I wanted to tell you that I am the same way. But I once read something that applies here. It said that if you can’t write I love you in the dust on your furniture then you aren’t out enjoying life. I must be having the time of my life if that is the case.
It means that life is too short. Don’t worry about the small stuff. I almost lost my husband a few times because he almost died on me. I now spend more time going places and doing things with him than I do worrying about my house. As long as you and your family is comfortable and is spending time together then that is all that is important. The house and housework will always be there but they may not.

Ever since my hubby and I got married, I made a number one rule of putting everything back in their proper places after using it. I took some time before he got used to it but two years after, he is as organized as I am. Rule number two came in a few weeks ago, don’t expect somebody else to clean up your mess, so it’s Clean As You Go at my house. So far, our house is neat even with our two sons (an 18-month old and a five-month old).
