I Have Add And Am Having Trouble Writing A 10-page Paper. I Feel Overwhelmed And Can’t Get Organized. Help!
I’ve got all my resources and know my general topic. I just can’t seem to concentrate and come up with a narrowed-down focus. I look at all my books and it just seems like information overload. This is very frustrating. It’s due in two weeks and I’m panicking a little (which of course makes it worse). Any advice and suggestions welcome. Thanks!

take notes on what you want to use. put them in seperate sections, and take it section by section. Don’t think of it as a whole, break it down into smaller sections. Remember, if you are feeling extremely overwhelmed, talk to your teacher! She/he may be able to give you some advice.
Well, you’ve gathered all this material so you’re off to a good start. Now considering all the information you have think of a claim. What one thing do you think that you could prove in your essay? What do you want your reader to understand about your topic. When you can answer this question, then you will be able to let that guide your writing. Let everything else that you write build from that one central idea.
Also, any kind of outline will help you. You don’t have to write it like a formal outline, you can just make several lists of like ideas. Then you will be able to create a paper around this.
Good Luck! Take it one step at a time.
Try this… gather your information on paper. Write down the facts, points that you would like to make. Keep each different thing seperate from the other. Then reference your lists when it’s time to write!
i would go with the first person

Small steps. Break it down into easily attainable goals. You can’t do anything until you decide on your narrowed focus. Put your books away. Two weeks is plenty of time if you just slow down and take it easy. The first thing you want to do is decide on your focus — just put it in your own words. Then decide what exactly you plan to say — again, in your own words. The worst thing you can do is what you’re doing right now, which is probably staring at a blank Word document and seventy billion books. Just start brainstorming and see what comes out. It might be garbage, but at least it’s something to help you get started. Good luck! You can do it!
