I Have Anger Management Issues, Can You Help?

Now I am 12 years old and have anger management issues, I easily explode and don’t know how to get rid of it. I take anger management classes and it fails and does not work on me. Therefore I hurt others physically and emotionally. I have made 2 adults cry before I feel like a little troll.

Are you getting enough exercise? At your age your body is going through some hormonal changes and it can be hard to keep your anger and other emotions in check. Exercise, and I mean really exercising until you sweat, could help you release some of what you’re holding inside. I’m glad you want to get things under control though! Keep going to the classes too. Sometimes it takes a while to learn how to change.

Write about it, I’d make a list of all of my “explosions” and the events leading up to it and how i felt. Then go back and see if you notice a pattern that can be changed. In the meantime whenever you feel it coming on, simply explain that you need to leave now to “take space” don’t just stop talking about whatever is making you upset, leave the room for a minute until you feel calm enough to return to the situation

Look into meditation & deep breathing exercises,you have access to the internet, just by ” Googling ” you will find a lot of “How to ” articles.
Inform your teachers & school counselor about your anger,they will try to keep you under control during class & recess or they will find an alternative way.

I CONTROLLED MY ANGER BYE …..EVERY TIME I WOULD GET MAD I WOULD SOCK THE WALL BUT THAT DIDN’T HELP ………SO EVERY TIME I WANTED TO SOCK THE WALL…I WOULD TAKE DEEP BREATHES AND COUNT TO TEN IT WORKED FOR ME…I HOPE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU
