I Need Help Keeping A More Positive Attitude. What Would You Advise?
One of my “idols” is Dolly Parton because she is so positive and non-judgmental, even though I know she has strong opinions (like me :})
What things would you do to keep a more positive outlook, and also being more non-judgmental?

Positive attitudes are projective projects that feed on themselves. That is a lot of big ideas, simply put, that mean you project attitude and it is reflected back to you. Don’t lie in bed when you wake up, but rather jump up and get moving. Choose your clothes carefully, and conservatively so they are attractive but do not detract from your presence. Train yourself to approach people and be friendly and supportive, but do not engage in negative comments or judgmental conversations. Look people in they eye, and make them feel important to you and of value as a friend.
When people are rude to you, make it a special effort to approach them and be open and friendly. People can not be cruel to someone that is always friendly and upbeat. It takes to much engergy.
Also, try to be as energetic and cooperative in other peoples positive projects as possible. You are valuable when people know they can depend on you and trust you.
Most importantly, get up every morning, look in the mirror and say, “Today, I am taking control of this journey”.
Your attitude is really your outlook on life. If one has a crappy attitude they probably think life is crap. If one has a positive attitude, they have a positive outlook on life. What you need to do is be more easy going, be more positive (pick people up (mentally), volunteer, look for the good in others, know that everyone is special, etc.). It is simply looking at life a little brighter.
Positive people never put others down.
Also, being less judge mental isn’t too difficult. Just picture in your mind you opening your heart to the world. Be accepting to all shapes, sizes, colors and personalities. Know that everyone, no matter what race, shape or size, has something good to offer.
Hope i helped
Firs thing is. You need to accept yourself for who you are. Once you do that, you can accept others for who they are.
Think positive and try to have confidence in yourself. Avoid stereotyping certain groups of people, be patient.
Don’t make someone your role model. Be yourself and never be afraid to make mistakes. You will learn from them!
Don’t worry about other people not approving of you, they don’t matter. Only the strong hearted people have what it takes to climb over that wall and be a good friend.
Be willing to have an open mind about subjects you disagree with. Hear the other person out. Sometimes the things we hold as truths really are not. You have to be willing to say “I guess I was wrong about that.” No shame in it.
Also, give a person the benefit of the doubt. Looks don’t always show the person inside.
