i read self improvements bookd a lot bu they put little effect for some days after that i forget all..are they
i am reading how to worry less and how to influence people by dale Carnegie..
are these books helpful in day to day life .or are they just for sale …i never find them helpful.

I have found that they dont help much if your not working towards goals.
Setting a schedule is key, write down the important things you read in the books and put a mantra on the wall which you read often.
They are good because they give some useful hints to work on. It may not be useful to you now perhaps because it is not what you really want, this book talks about influencing people. May be this is not what you are looking for, find out what aspect of your personality you want to improve, there are various areas in us,
Could be Self confidenct,
Relationship
communication
self esteem
dealing with emotional problems,
working with difficult people
marital problems
there are a list of things, and if you pick books that means to more to your current problems may be you will retain more because it is going to answer your current problems. When you read such books and something really appeals to your have tags in the pages so you can always go back to read it, it is not that everything should make meaning to you. Sometimes when you read the same book after a year you will find more tips that become useful, try doing this. Because we all grow and things have different meaning after a little while.
Do you have counseling services in your place if so get help.
Just reading won’t work.
Those books work when you work with them.
Take one bit that you think is worthwhile, translate it into an action. Do it.Learn from it. Do it better. Repeat till you do it without thinking.
Cut the shit, do the thing.
