If It Wasn’t For Judges Ordering People To Anger Management Classes Would The Schools Go Broke?
Could it be that judges are in cahoots with anger management classes, and support them by sentencing people to attend these classes unnecessarily?

This is more of a psycology question. I don’t think they would go broke, I just don’t think there would be as many. We need this kind of thing, but it can be abused. It’s the same for court ordered drug and alcohol treatment. Since insurance pays for most of it, when you are evaluated they assess you as having a problem…in turn they bring in more money from the insurance. Anytime insurance is involved – it’s guaranteed money. These are good programs to have, but can be abused.
Pretty hostile question!
The anger management classes would be harder to fill because those with the problem never see it. They constantly blame others (like judges in cahoots w/ people they don’t like) to justify their rage. Most folks who go to such classes don’t go until they’re forced. They always believe someone else deserved their abuse. Just like alcoholics seldom see that they, too, are not in control. If we could monitor our own behaviors, there’d be no need for any of that stuff.
no schools get their money from the school taxes we pay . and get extra money from getting in all the school days in the year . but i thing a lot of kids need the anger management classes . it is Cort order Because people and kids would not just go on their own. their is not schools for that it is just classes no it . but it might just need a school for it . see a councilor on it
I used to work in a criminal defense firm and anger management was ordered by judges in many of our clients cases.
Judges are not in cahoots with the classes. In many cases, it is a much needed service that people who really need it wouldn’t go unless they were ordered. Too many times there are cases such as domestic violence where the “victim” doesn’t carry through the case because they 1/ either “love” the person that is beating them 2/ are afraid of what would happen if they carried through or 3/ combination of both above. Many times a plea is offered and the judge orders anger management. It’s really the least they can do and it is a great service to the larger community on the whole.
I’ve seen many judges sit through the classes themselves to see which ones they feel are the successful ones and which ones are a joke. The ones they like are the ones they send people too.
Go to your classes. There aren’t any conspiracy theories regarding this issue.
um.. actually yes. The classes are there as a judicial choice between management and jail. So if we didn’t have the classes then they would go to jail, or get off the hook completely.
So the judges are actually doing the “person” a favor by letting them attend classes there as opposed to during a 30 day stint in county.
No – they are not in cahoots (great word, by the way). I think most anger management classes get special funding, and believe me, the are sorely needed.
Too many hotheads who do not know how to express themselves without scaring or intimidating others.
They are a good thing!
What I think is that there is not enough parenting from the kids parents. I think judges and others are sick and tired of kids who are out-of-control These kids have never been told “no”, have never been taught how to handle tough situations, have never been given the time it takes to raise a normal, well-adjusted human being.
