and why did they do this?
apparently they were just “acting” like this to get a reaction out of him?

they had it all planned forgot his name but jack nicholson and adam sandlers girlfriend. they just wanted to make him mad cuz they had most stuff that happened in the movie planned to get him to do what he did in the end
